Honestly, the fact that everything is in bundles is probably my biggest issue with the shop.
If a bundle contains, say, a coating you can apply to everything then that’s fine, preferable in fact. But when a Bundle contains a bunch of unrelated pieces of gear it creates a situation where you might like one thing in a bundle, and know already you have no intention of using anything else in it.
Take the Anubis bundle is in the shop right now. For me the Vigilant Watch stance is the only thing in that bundle I would ever equip. But since the stance is exclusive to the bundle instead of being a standalone item for $5, I know I’d have to make a full $20 purchase JUST for the stance. Now I’m not going to buy it.
At the same time I would also buy the Tactilamp attachment for the Sidekick if it was a 5$ standalone item. But it is also in a bundle with 3 other items I don’t care for, for $10 so I’m not going to buy it.
So, I would individually buy Vigilant Watch and the Tactilamp for 5$ each, totalling 10$, but I won’t buy the Tactilamp in it’s 10$ bundle, even though I’d get 4 total items. And you see the issue here? Instead of getting $10 out of me for two individual items I think are cool, you’re getting nothing out of me because you’re asking me to overspend for stuff I don’t want. Honestly 5$ a piece is still a rip off but people would legitimately buy it at that price and sink money in little by little as stuff releases that they want.
That’s the biggest issue with the shop right now, not just because it’s not consumer friendly, but because it actively dissuades us from giving 343 our money. It’s not producer friendly either.
