The biggest content drought of Halo

Here we are, reading the news of Halo Infinite being delayed to Fall 2021. This means we are facing the sixth year without a new main series game.

As the content drought of this franchise grows longer and longer, many long time fans of the franchise (including me) are losing more and more interest in the franchise.

And it’s even scarier that without the -Yoink- storm, we might have gotten a mediocre halo game after 5 years of waiting. I am not sure if one more year of development can safe this game and thus the franchise.

Are we witnessing the end of one of the biggest shooter franchises ever?

I really hope not. I think 343 said they’d be rolling out testing flights for Infinite in the Spring, which would be nice for everybody, especially for the devs, who would benefit from data in order to balance weapons, enemies, etc. Maybe they can add a small little mission separate from the campaign, which will spark a small resurgence of speedrunning and PvE players (firefight would also be nice).
