I recently made a thread asking people when they thought 343 needed to release more info on Halo 5. As expected, most people said that 343 should wait until they are ready.
Now, I have a new question regarding this topic.
As you all know, many Halo fans have the game out of mind after the shortcomings of Halo4. When 343 does begin to reveal information about Halo 5, what piece of info do you think will do the most to grab the attention of lost\former fans? Should they start off with things regarding campaign? Custom games? Forge? Matchmaking?
Personally I think that if 343 announced descope for the next Halo right now, they’d have the competitive community’s attention for the rest of this game’s development.
I think 343i should avoid revealing aspects of the Campaign, the fact that Halo 4’s was advertised to death made the Campaign much less awe inspiring than what it could have been. And Halo 4 had a damn good Campaign.
Other than that, I just hope that 343i fulfills in implementing what they say they will. I remember about a year and a half ago, Frank O’Conner promised a Classic Playlist at launch, and he said that Halo would be going “back to its roots”. Did we get it?
No we didn’t.
While I do, in fact, enjoy the new direction that 343i has gone with the Multiplayer, nothing repulses me more than transparent promises.
I think a 20-30 second clip of a mix of campaign and multiplayer and nothing too detailed, pretty much a unique teaser if you will, is ideal and will make us smile a little bit

I think its okay for them to show some things from campaign. If they want to show off some new enemies or campaign game mechanics, that’s fine. Just as long as they avoid the story.
Actually as far as I’m concerned they should ONLY show teasers for the Campaign, but MP I think they should advertise the crap out of(make it a site to be proud of and distinguish it from other games for people to actually want to play the game.)
Just don’t make ridiculous trailers and a site to feel ashamed!

That’s a thing that made Halo 4’s campaign not so surprising when many of us played it, they showed off all of the enemies and told to many details of the story, frankie even spoiled the didact for me lol
I agree that they should show off the campaign a little bit but it doesn’t have to be with the new enemies, for example they can do it with the covenant and prometheans but if the flood will return then they should definitely keep that a secret.
