The beta

The multiplayer Beta for Halo 4 is going to be on the CEA disc right? It would only make sense, with ODST having the Reach Beta and such. It would get more people to buy the game and could have been the center of your marketing plan for CEA (which I was disappointed there wasn’t one). Even announcing that having a CEA disc at the VGA’s 2moro will guarantee you Halo 4 beta access would drive sales up a ish load. Just what ever you do with the Beta, please don’t make me buy another crackdown game.

Frank O’ Connor Precisely said at Halofest that it won’t be on CEA.

Reach maybe? Or H3 since it the sequel to that game?

Ill bet Reach(If there’s a beta at all)

Nope Halo 4 Beta is not on the CEA disk.
Confirmed at Halo Fest.

They already mentioned at Halofest that if there is to be a Beta, it would be an open Beta.

If it’s with another game I’m guessing it will be with Mass Effect 3, but I think it will be on the Reach disk - as everyone else said, Frankie confirmed it won’t be on the CEA disk.

I think when frank said it won’t be on the CEA disk, he ment at CEA’s release, not later into the future.

343 lied to use before.

I doubt it would be on the disk of a game under the control of EA.

Can anyone confirm that this is a legitimate site?

But it wouldn’t exactly make any sense to announce it now. Some people probably might have traded it in already or just don’t own it anymore. 343/MS should have given us an incentive to keep Halo: CEA. I’m pretty sure a lot of people will be in an uproar and these forums would explode if 343/MS announce a beta with CE:A.

Seems fake. Using a Halo 3 model of the chief and Microsoft no longer goes by “Microsoft Game Studios” + they changed their logo at E3 this year, they just go by Microsoft Studios.

plus if it was legitimate, it would have been connected through this site

is this a troll? no. there is not Halo 4 beta on the CEA disk. if there was, people would know it, and you would already be seeing posts about how lame/awesome it was.

Not necessarily. ODST had the data thaat allowed you to download the Reach beta once Bungie released it, like a virtual beta key. If the beta key is on the CEA disk then 343 needs to release the beta first before the key is activated. Frankie has been known to call out red herrings.

Side note: Do we know that there is going to be a beta FOR SURE?

Well, actually, the ODST disc had a menu slot that could be manipulated to lead to a designated area of the XBL marketplace, but nothing specifically about the Halo Reach Beta.

Anyway, a beta has not been confirmed, but it hasn’t been flat out denied either. With the trend of multiplayer games and especially Halo, a multiplayer beta is highly likely.

I would hope, that should such a thing occur, it’s either an open beta like Battlefield 3, or a code that comes with a H4 pre-order, much like Gears 3.

Th reach portion of the CEA disk also has the changeable menu as well.

From what I remember, and from what others have said, Frankie said that the Halo 4 beta wouldn’t be accessed through Halo CEA, but when they decide to release the beta it will be a way that is widely accessible to fans.

Who knows, maybe you’ll just be able to download the beta through Waypoint or something like that.

No it doesn’t.

As 343i has stated, the multiplayer beta (should it become public…and most likely will) will not be included with Halo Anniversary.

Judging from the way shooter developers have been handling public betas recently I would guess that a public beta would be open to anyone who wished to join.
