Halo has always been my “go-to” game for online gaming. Been playing online since halo 2 came out. I’m trying really hard to enjoy this game. But, I just keep sitting here wondering what happened? The beta felt great. The gunplay was good. Aiming felt smooth and accurate like halo always has been. The guns had a satisfying punch. I was so excited for halo 5 after the beta. But, what is this? I still hold my own in this game, but aiming feels wonky. Like I’m fighting with the controls rather than enjoying the game. It feels like I’m shooting air pellets at enemies. And for a precision shooter, hits feel “off” somehow. I don’t understand how 343 could have shipped this game feeling satisfied that this was as best as the game could be. What I really want is to be able to tell 343 right to their faces how disappointed I am. And that this is the first time I’ve been so frustrated with a halo game that it makes me not want to play it. For a long-time halo who really only owns an Xbox to play halo, this is pushing me to just stick more and more to PC gaming and leave Xbox behind for good.
Get used to it and stop beating a dead horse.
Honestly, the main thing I miss from the Beta is the ability to double boost (using the Thrusters). Aside from that I adapted and have been having a ton of fun with the game.
They openly admitted to tweaking the aiming from how it was in the beta. They ruined it. Aiming in the beta was fine and nobody complained about it.

It changed so much from the beta because of Halo-old schoolers as they wanted the game to be like the old halo roots.
To me, it feels more polished than the beta. But what do I know?
Because you took your hype goggles off.

This is the main problem I have. It just should not exist. Why change something (not even fix it) that isn’t broken or asking to be changed? Even from the minimalistic changes in older Halos like Halo 3 having to lead your shots it was till the same sensitivities and movements. It still worked, even if people didn’t prefer it. The difference with this is it’s just not smooth. Sure I can get used to it, and I have a positive K/D 1.3 but that doesn’t mean there’s not something inconsistent with Halo shooting about it.

If I gave you a piece of -Yoink- would you just “get used to it?” You’re the dead horse if you can’t understand that this takes people away from the game. But obviously that wouldn’t matter to you as you’ve already expressed.
They just need to give us an option to use beta settings if so those who like this new halo aim can stick with it and those of us who preferred the easy it felt in the beta can use that it is a win for everyone involved.

Lol drama queen much? Just because the aiming feels off to you it doesn’t make it bad for everyone. I felt it was wonky at first too but now it feels normal. I cared enough to stick to it and get better with the mechanics, instead of posting done to death topics on the forum.
I believe 343 said something about fixing the aiming in the December update. but it sounds like you could use some tips on fixing your aim. try adjusting your sensitivity and if you can use a wired controller, the wired controller reduces lag, and when your in the middle of a firefight don’t scope in, hip fire. only scope in when your shooting from long to mid distance. there are more tips on the internet if your still having trouble
