I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I finally figured out the best unlock system that combines the “best” from halo reach, h4, and h5g. So here we go.
Armor should be unlocked the same way as halo reach. Armor skins (maximum two armor skins for each armor) will come from the REQ system in a card specifically for armors. Weapon loadouts for WZ should be unlocked through leveling up. For example: the BR would be unlocked at spartan rank 3. You first start unlocking the base version but as you keep leveling up you get their variants. Vehicles and power weapons are unlocked the same way as in halo 5 but as separate cards. One card for the weapons and another for the vehicles.
Let’s also have fan favorite armors be unlocked through achievements like halo 3 and halo 4.
I can agree with this. But I mostly preferred the halo 3 system since you unlocked armors for doing everything.
interesting but I have a better Idea: the Warframe method. Warframe’s methods of unlocking are not easy but they are effective. You have 2 choices, you can grind, collect and play the game continuously until you get enough to get what you want, or you can pay for it using cash. This works for just about everything in the game.

Well this makes sense. The achievement armor unlocks were the best thing that happened to the game, but removing them was a bad choice. I just want a way of earning things fairly.

The mothod you brought up is the exact same method as halo reach only you involve real life money. The mothod that I brought was a method that can please everybody and for 343 to still make money and have free dlc.

The halo 3 system wasn’t just achievements, it legitimately was by doing everything. Just leveling up in mp. Or playing the campaign would get you armors.

well those achievements actually unlocked the armor, and that was through doing everything so technically we’re both right

it wasn’t exactly free DLC, it was more like Patches. its actually not like reach’s method entirely. It’s different. Warframe is pretty much a game where you collect various materials to create weapons and armor from blueprints. Replace that with the credit system from Halo Reach and that works… now as for paying it would be something related to the REQ system where people could pay for REQ packs, and the items inside all depend on the Rank of the player, thus making it fair so that people can’t just buy items and have something of high value. (lvl 1-10: common items, 10-20: common - uncommon, 20-40: common-Rare, 40:50: uncommon-Rare, 50-60: uncommon to ultra Rare, 60-90: Ultra Rare - Legendary. 90+: Legendary to Mythic. Ratio increases with ranks.)

You might prefer that but imo the one that I gave is much better. You still use RP but if you’re not a Warzone guy you don’t have to buy the packs you can use the RP to buy the armor piece you want the same way that halo reach did it. If you want skins for the armor or weapon then you have an armory pack wich includes armor skins and wepon skin.
