The best campaign

This game is just outstanding, it to me is the best campaign, its both a direct path and free roam game that makes it unique regardless of the fact that your playing as an odst. this may have been said before, but this is the best campaign, unfortunantely they didn’t build an odst multiplayer. Just a friends lobby for firefight. If they created a multiplayer for odst, i bet it would have been very popular

I absolutely LOVED ODST’s campaign! The dark atmosphere, eerie/epic soundtrack, and almost sandbox-style gameplay on Mombasa Streets made for an incredible game, in my opinion! Firefight was certainly a welcome addition, too!

For me, it’s a tie between ODST and Reach for best campaign.

ODST was very different, and almost Marathon-esque, so it gets the edge I think.

@SOUL EDGE989, I would have liked an ODST multiplayer as well.

@crazybydefault, firefight made me a Halo fan, I’m glad it’s beyond 343i’s ability to ruin firefight in ODST they way they have ruined matchmaking firefight with Reach.

ODST is VERY underrated.

  1. halo reach
  2. halo 3
  3. halo ODST

i just love the ODST campaign i think its just so underrated and overlooked that i think this kind of helps make it more special and would love to see a ODST 2 between 3 and 4 that we be awsome

I wasn’t that big of a fan of ODST… But to be honest, it was a pretty awesome game, from you first falling out of the sky and breaking out of your drop pod, from trying to figure out just WTF just happened. It was an alright game, the atmosphere was one that was new to Halo, Depressing, Lol.

Firefight was amazing, my and my friend Caleb would play for hours, it was so strategic and TBH difficult to survive for a while, we took it so serious. I wasn’t even one of the Halo players that liked to fight Covies, I’d rather be in MM. But I love it. What ruined Reach’s Firefight, well for one It had nothing to do with 343i. It’s Bungie’s Fault. First they gave us mostly, garbage campaign maps. Then gave us the ability to “fix” the rounds so if we wanted to be invulnerable we could be, if we wanted to fight nothing but grunts, that’s okay too! You want bottomless clip rockets? You got em! But to top all of that off, was the firefight MM… It turned from, start with nothing, find your weapons and make a stand off. Try to survive. Into alright guys pick your endless clip power weapons and race to see how many points you can get in 15 mins…

I never really thought about an ODST multiplayer… It would be enjoyable but It wouldn’t live up to H2, H3, or even Reach, if you thought Reach was like CoD… ODST would be worse.

After H:CE and H2, ODST had the best campaign. It was just as engaging as it’s predecessors were with it’s soundtrack, game play, characters and story despite taking a different approach with everything else. My gripe with the title was that it’s campaign was short, leaving you wanting more from the ODST squad and that it’s overshadowed like Halo Wars with the other installments and featured Spartans as the main focus.
