For those who want BR starts for every game type are you just bad with versitility or, are you only good with a BR?
I prefer not to have BR starts because then it makes all other weapons virtually pointless and turns every game with or without an objective to a tower camp fest. However I would like there to be more BR’s on the maps for those who wish to have BR starts. I think it is a happy medium.
Personally I don’t really mind the AR starts. If I’m trying to sweat and really want the BR start I’ll just play ranked.
Modes like BTB, quick play, etc…are intended to be a more casual experience in the game. Historically so many halo game modes have been AR/sidekick (magnum) starts, I feel like it’s nothing new. 
Yes, I agree with everything you have stated. I posted this because another topic someone was wanting BR starts in BTB when as you said, historically BTB always first came out with weapon starts other than BR which , would later come along. Which I found ruined the fun aspect of the gameplay because as mentioned above the game in progress (regardless of game type) evolved into the two teams having a stand down of shooting each other half way across the map.
That may be fun for some but, not all. I fall into the latter group. I play to win, don’t get me wrong but I also like using a different variety of weapons to get the job done. I don’t mind BR starts for ranked or comp this is why I rarely play ranked.
Now the problem with adding a new BTB BR start playlist which you know already will split the player base and one or, both BTB playlist will suffer later on as the game ages. However a Ranked BTB with BR starts is one ranked playlist I would most definitely play only bc that’s how much I love playing BTB.

I think a lot of players haven’t fully utilized the sandbox. There are quite a few high tier weapons that players don’t utilize in BTB matches.
Maybe eventually they will iron out the playlists, but yeah I don’t think splitting the BTB community is the move as of now.
No problem for the reply. I love the BR, but that doesn’t mean I want it injected into every mode I play.
Have it the mcc way. Different playlists for br starts and ar starts. Everybody wins.
I agree as well with the fact people don’t use or try to use (which is the bigger problem IMO) all the choices they have. I’m not impling oh if you see a plasma pistol use that over the BR l. For example, if you have a plasma pistol try using it to get comfortable with it and more confident funding out the different combos with other weapons or how fast it takes to kill an opponent.
I did this with the pulse carbine early on. I was one who thought it was terrible and now it’s on my top five and top choice in BTB. I’m the assist king. And two shots with a quick draw of the pistol and eniemes are toast. I did this with the bulldog as well, I learned to get better with it so now if there’s a situation where I have to use it I get a kill before dying rather then just eating dirt.
I’m currently working on getting better with the race her and like with other weapons that I thought serve no purpose it is turning out to be a lot better than originally thought, especially taking out vehicles using the disrupter pistol. I call it the freezing before heating them combo lol
I’m happy with my AR Starts, specifically in BTB. It encourages a bit more weapon diversity, I feel, and it’s nice to have a Halo game that isnt so dominated by precision weapons. But, most importantly, it gets players to move more into the fights instead of sticking to their one point halfway across the map with BRs.
While I’m all for people getting more modes for BR Starts, I am happy that ARs are the standard in Social.

My point exactly. There’s a whole map to be utilized with different weapons and some people rather use one weapon sticking to one spot on the map. That’s fine with me if you find that fun. I just don’t want that to be the only way to win.
