How is 343i balancing the banshee when compared to say, Halo Reach? In Halo Reach with a good pilot the banshee absolutely wrecked with the fuel rod shot.
Will snipers be able to take it down in a few hits?
Is the plasma pistol able to catch it in the air?
Can the banshee still fly fast and do flips to evade a lot of things?
I appreciate Waypoint taking the time to answer my questios. Any more comments towards this question are welcome

The flips and rolls are much slower this time around and i believe they take away from the boost gauge. The Banshee’s previously weak (in Reach) plasma cannons have been buffed to do more damage in Halo 4.
I am uncertain about the Banshee bomb, someone else might know the tweaks to that.
Weapons like the Sniper and DMR no longer wreck vehicles like they used to. If you want to take em out, you have to use vehicles of your own or power weapons like the FRG, Laser, Rockets etc.
Sniper and DMR’s won’t have the same destructive power on vehicles like they did in Reach, that has been confirmed. OPP’s still effect all vehicles as before.

In the 9 min Ragnork vid a guy shoots 4 sniper shots into an already damaged enemy banshee and it barely effects it. Yay!

After using it at PAX, I dont see it as big an issue. In Reach, one could just “bomb-backflip, bomb-backflip”. The bomb isnt as powerful and the flip is much slower. Plus on the flip, it “scoops” down a bit first. If your too close to the ground and backflip, you’ll hit the ground and damage yourself. So it shouldn’t be as deadly as it used to be.
