The Banished

So it looks like the Banished are going to be the main enemy in Halo infinite I wonder how Cortana and the other rogue AI will fit into all this

Cortana and the AI will use the banish (manipulate them) to fight off the UNSC. The AI from Halo Wars 2 has been traumatized by the Banished (the scene where she wrecks the carrier) so she hates the Banished. She is gonna have hatred towards cortana for helping the Banished. Jerome is gonna want to destroy Cortana and Chief may have some rivalry… or he may have to work with Jerome to not do that. She is letting the Banished do what they’re doing because she already set the Guardians out and the Banished havnt been stopped or seem to have been doing anything against them
Thats my idea of what is happening.

I find this highly unlikely given the banished are not sided with Cortana. She is an enemy of them as well and is known as the apparition to them. The Banished fundimentally don’t want to be ruled or controlled. Their entire thing is essentially getting the biggest stick so no one can enslave them like the covenant essentially did (funny enough, they essentially do the same thing in a different way).

The odds the spirit of fire is involved in any way is near 0 with the most being Anders. Even if they appear, Jerome won’t have a rivalry with the chief. All spartan 2s essentially view each other as family and even with Cortana being involved, Jerome will most likely defer to chiefs judgment.

This is 343 making it. I’m sure they can make something go wrong. I like to think the worst outcome so the actual final project isn’t as disappointing going in with high hopes

ah, your a 343 company bad kind of person. Ill leave you to your self wollowing

Whatever role the AIs will play in this game, I essentially view them as another potential faction similar to the flood. I can’t imagine they would take up a fighting role, but I’d like to believe that story ark is carried into this series in some capacity. The banished will just fill the usual “covenant” role in every Halo game to fight. Whether the flood or Prometheans play a role in this game also is to be seen.

Anyway, I feel like the AIs may just function as a way to push the story along. All we know is Chief needs to stop the banished. No mention of the AI in any trailer we’ve seen before other than Chief is totally isolated from the UNSC.

Nope actually been enjoying there stuff recently. Its simply prepare for the worst hope for the best. I want whats best for Halo. They had a bad trend with the campaign, been improving in other areas. They have dropped some minor things that are controversial while doing a good job at the same time. They can make things go wrong. But I dont want them to. I have faith they’ll get it right this time around, not because of Joseph Staten but because they have really learned from the community and because this is going to be a major installment to the series. If it flops then really -Yoink- storm will go their way. Until the game is out then we simply can only hope or prepare. My opinions are based off of what they’ve done in the past but also of what they’ve been making. So as a fan of Halo I want to support and give criticism with reason.
