Sooooooooo… this morning i left a match im plat 5 at the time i got banned for 9 hours.
A friend of mine got booted for teamkilling and got banned for 9 minutes being a very similar rank

Apparently it is. See, we’re supposed to sit there and let the other team continuously spawn kill us and be general bullies towards us. Apparently that’s honor or some other BS justification they have for forcing people to have to sit through that s41t. Or they claim your quitting is ruining the experience for the other players. Yeah, no, what is ruining the experience is the fact that the other team was mismatched against you and are of a vastly superior rank. The match was over before it even started. You can have all the people in the world take your place after you quit but the bottom line is once that score gap hit’s a certain point NO ONE is going to want to continue the match. It’s over. The other team is too good and forcing players to have to go through a completely one sided match like that is unfair. THAT is what ruins people’s experiences in Halo 5. Didn’t have problems like this in past Halo’s, and by that I mean any halo prior to 343’s regime. Sure, there were times you’d end up against a better team, but that was a rarity. Otherwise the games prioritized matching random players with other random players and there was no background skill system in the casual lists.
Originally, in past Halos, the ban was put in place to stop people from quitting in an era where quitting left you a person or two short. In the current times, we have the ability to join a match in progress. Granted, this just takes you into a match you are guaranteed to lose, but it still doesn’t leave your team short. So the logic behind the ban is essentially moot. It has to real function. People still quit if the match is garbage. The ban serves no purpose and doesn’t prevent anything, aside from annoying and alienating what precious few players this game has left.
What makes it so much more comical is another mod of the forums is gonna lock this too cause they know its true and dont wanna get roasted for it…

Nah, the moderators are just the lap dogs of the devs. They give them these posts to keep the forums clear of complaints so they don’t have to hear about the problems of their game. It’s the digital equivalent of sticking ones fingers in their ears and going “la la la la la I can’t hear you la la la la la”.
Worst part is, they are the players they listen to when it comes to making changes to the game… ones who advocate leaving the game broken and ineffective.
