So I was playing in arena, my connection was lost, the game apparently took it as me quitting a match and I was then banned for an entire day. Absolutely ridiculous.
I’ve been hit with the Banhammer message before for quitting, but the duration was only 15 minutes.
This is excessive though. Needs to be fixed, 343.
Same thing happened to me earlier today. The matchmaking has been shot to shot since the apirl update.
You deserve it though, all those games you quit in Breakout and Grifball stacked against you. 4 of them in 1 day.
You didn’t just get a 15 minute ban, you couldn’t have. Seeing as how quitting 2 matches gets you a ban, and you quit 2 more. And you’ve quit some other matches within the week, but not as bad as those 4 in 1.
Personally, I get sick and tired of having to accept a losing game because half my teams missing. Either because you quit because you didn’t like it, or because you “lagged” out. If you joined the match, you need to finish it. If you can’t, resolve your issues before you attempt.
I like the ban hammer, a 24 hour ban will make you think twice before quitting a game when you don’t feel like toughing it out, especially if you know you have a bad connection.
however i think you should get a free pass when it’s a 4 on 2 or a 4 on 1 and you are the 2 or 1 person. These games are no fun for the 2 or 1 person just being chased down by the other team who has collected all the power weapons for the remaining 8 minutes of the match. It’s also no fun for the 4 players on the same team because it’s no competition and it’s a big game of hide and go seek.

U sound like to me that if u have bad Internet connection, I have always had bad Internet connection till we got a new provider, that you should give up and not play multiplayer. That’s what I got from this anyway so please clarify.
Considering the lag has increased with each new update… The fact 343i hasn’t adjusted the ban hammer to compensate for lag drops shows how out of touch they are with their fanbase. “to heck with you… WE BAN YOU FROM PLAYING FOR A DAY!”
C’mon man. Get real 343i.
