Lots of people have had trouble with the banhammer, and I know tons of people have harped on about this but… Why can you get banned from ALL of arena, just from playing Grifball?
Makes no sense. Just ban us from the grifball playlist if we’re a bit too inaccurate with our hammers, because at the moment, 343 seems to be inaccurate with theirs too.
I was playing Arena a few weeks back, (and I NEVER quit arena games on purpose) and my internet cut out for a few seconds. Rare occurence, really. But as soon as the internet is gone- Title screen, and banned. What?? The last time I had quit a game was at least two weeks before that, and I got banned for being forced out of ONE game? Can you at least find a way to tell the difference between pressing Leave Game and bad internet? And if you can, why do you ban us from losing connection???
I know the banhammer helps with the myriad of people who quit games on a daily basis, but at least TRY to make it fair??
Happens all the bloody time with me, it’s the reason I’m never going to but any 343 items until they stop using it! You play good money and when they muck up your not allowed to use the thing you paid for!
Just today it’s banned me for servers error, it doesn’t stop people and buggers people like us up!
I have to agree. I wish they could distinguish between a quit and a lag out. I’ve lagged out 3 games in a row before (early morning, connecting with a lot of Euro players) and I received a 45 minute ban. I do my best not to quit, but honestly if I join mid-game and my team is getting demolished I’m not wasting my time staying in a game where I have no impact on the outcome.

Actually, you have a DNF in two out of your last seven Arena matches, so receiving a ban really shouldn’t be too surprising. In contrast, I have played more than ten-times as many matchmaking games as you have, and I haven’t been banned once. What’s the difference? I never quit.
Lol all the salty quitters in the same thread. All their stories “I never quit, but quit a couple of times…”, or “I left the game to do other stuff and got booted” lololol. Good riddance, enjoy your bans.

I only looked at a few of your last games in arena and wz…You do have 3-4 DNF in two days time. That will get you the hammer! While this may not be fair it is currently what is in place.

It is pretty dumb you get punished for playing a game by the people you paid to play it… I’m not a kid don’t put me in timeout because I lagged out of a yoinking game you yoinks change it to where you hit the quit button and then you get the ban hammer ways, or take bungies old idea and way when they made halo 3 it was a way better system then this crap!!!
The banhammer is annoying when you are losing connection constantly. If it happens one or two times people should not get banned for it. If it happens more than 5 times then I believe that they should get banned but not for a long period.

My internet DID screw up a fair few times that day…Which further proves my point, since ALL those quits were bad internet. Apparently the hammer can tell sometimes and other times it cant. +What I was talking about happened about a week before that day.
