I have no idea why 343 believes they have a right to ban me from matchmaking without even so much as a timer to allow me to understand how long I’ve been banned for. Why should I have to stay in a match when every other player on my team has already quit? Do you have any idea how “Un-Fun” it is to play a match when you’re out gunned 4 to 1? Or when players on you’re team are AFK for the whole match and finish with a score of 0 and 15? Or how about if your connection fails? Or there’s too much “leg” in the match? You can’t punish people for not wanting to play in a rigged match.
I paid a lot of money to be able to play this game and even more in DLC and REQ packs, as such, you have zero right to treat me with such disrespect, no other first person shooter I play whether it be Battlefront, Titanfall, Destiny, or Call of Duty employs such an idiotic tactic to control players.
Smarten up and get rid of the “Banhammer” before you start to loose your gamer base.
Uh, 343 DOES have the right. The moment you open the case, you agree to their TOS, which includes the banhammer.
How do you figure? They absolutely DO NOT have the right bud. This banhammer wont last.

No other first person shooter is as competitive as Halo is, also the companies of said other shooter don’t care if another player ruins another players experiences by being AFK or leaving.

Are you sure? Reach had a similar system. Look how not-gone that one is.
Go ahead and file suit if you want. It’ll just be you paying for punitive damages.
Who said anything about filing a suit? Don’t type idiotic statements and learn to read… If reach is what you’re basing this argument off of then good luck. Reach was easily considered one of the worst titles in the franchise.

Halo 5 isn’t competitive its just a haven for noobs and tryhards.

What you wrote makes no sense. Don’t waste my time.

They absolutely have the right to implement bans. They even have a disclaimer before you join into the game que. You purchased a product to use, not to own. You technically do not own that game, you purchased the right to play their game. That whole 20 page ToS that people agree to, in which the majority of people don’t read, will clearly shine some light as to who can do what.
Because pro players designed this game. Designed is Latin for RUINED.
I really don’t care what anyone’s argument on here is against what I have to say. I have enough intelligence to know that quitting out of two games due to team mates either being AFK or quitting early does not merit a 24 hour ban from matchmaking. That is absolutely absurd.
Ooooh, someone’s salty for DNF’ing. lol (6 DNF’s in two days, for the record)
Follow the rules and you won’t be banned, kid.
Just for reference, the rules are located in the TOS and even listed in each playlist description before you even select said playlist.
Banhammer is here to stay, and is banging on all cylinders for once.

I guess your intelligence forgot about the other 4 DNFs. You can look at people’s service records and game history, just an FYI… You have 3 DNF today and 3 DNF yesterday. Nice try.

How good the game is doesn’t matter. Reach has a similar system. Reach still has that system. Meaning this game will too.
Get rid of all penalties for foul play? What is this, Call of Noobie?

Precisely

The majority of people who complain always have terrible records
There should be a ban timer shown on the screen when the ban message is displayed to you. Initially, for your first bans, it will show in minutes and seconds. If this is your first offence then your ban will be for 24 minutes and not 24 hours, so it should be up by now. In terms of the banhammer itself, yes 343 are well within their rights to ban you from the game as others have stated.
When you buy a game you actually buy a licence to play it, so you own a licence for it and not the actual game itself (same with any peiece of software) and as long as you agree to abide by the terms of the game when you play, you can play it. It’s the same with Xbox Live as well - break the terms of service and you can be suspended. Without these rules in place, anyone could do whatever they wanted on the game without fear of consequence. I don’t think anyone really wants that do they?
5 DNF’s out of your last 10 games? Tell me more about how unfair halo is? Stop quitting. Maybe if you stop quitting, you’ll stop crying. Also, your K/D is low.
I would like to take this time to ask 343 to implement a “DISLIKES” counter. Specifically for ignorant, obnoxious posts.
