What is this S**t, how long does it take for the ban hammer to reset because this is stupid

It isn’t based on time, but matches played and completed. You can’t just wait it out and get a clean slate.

Just happened to me as well. Finished the match and was disconnected from the host and resulted in a ban. Absolute -Yoink-!

I love it so we get to see these threads everyday. Honestly look at your record I i saw over 5 DNF on the first 3 pages of your game history. Sounds like you deserved the ban pretty bad. I got a tip for you stop quitting games when your losing or dont like the map and you will stop getting banned.

I agree that it’s not a good system, but you must’ve quit a lot of games in the past for it to add up to 30 minutes.
It’s people like the op that ruin the game. I report everyone that quits early now because it happens so often.

Actually I didn’t leave because of losing, losing and winning does not matter to me, so if your saying I’m leaving because of raging or don’t like the map I don’t
I left because I haven’t played halo in 7 weeks, so I’m quite rusty, and I wasn’t doing well so I left to play some BTB and got banned

Yeah after 7 weeks of not playing halo, and the last 5 matches was firefight that I lost so

Everyone can empathize with getting frustrated in the middle of a match, regardless of the reason. At the same time, there are very clear-cut warnings on the matchmaking screen before you even start searching.
Personally, I have completed over 2400 matchmaking game, I have never quit, and I have never been banned. Not a coincidence.
From my perspective the ban system isn’t trash, and it seems to be working perfectly.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve not played in 7 weeks or 7 years. There’s three other people on your team, that at the least you can service by being a distraction.
You often win a game when you have a weak player who has a KD ratio of 3/12. But you lose if they drop out. That’s because he’s/she’s been another body for the opposing team to concern themselves with. There’s more to a game than just your score.
Ban’s are a great thing. Just not long enough
