After playing Halo 5 since launch, I love and hate it at the same time. It has my favorite campaign and has the most balanced gameplay I’ve seen in a Halo game. It has major downsides, though. The aiming system is way too different from different Halo games, I don’t know what they did, but I don’t like it. It leads to me not having much fun in games because I can’t aim at all. My next nag is the unbalanced game of Warzone, which had the potential to be one of the best playlists ever, but is ruined due to the unbalance of it. If you don’t have a DMR, H2 BR, or SMG, you will get dominated in this playlist. There are too many open areas where Spartans get shot down by BR’s and DMR’s due to the fact that thrusting stalls your shield recharge, making it a literal death trap if you try to move in the open. A good example of this is the stretch between the Blue Armory and the Spire on Raid on Apex 7, anyone on the spire with a DMR, BR, etc. will gun you down immediately if you try running to the spire. It’s entirely up to RNJesus to decide if you manage to get weapons, which leaves some with a ton of great weapons, and some stuck with an Assault Rifle and BR. It often makes the game infuriating because you have to grind your way through REQ packs if you want any good weapons / vehicles, while you are being assaulted by people who already have the weapons / vehicles you desire. New player or players who don’t play often are left to fend with horrid weapons, while being insta-killed by players with superior weapons. I want to love Warzone, but I just can’t with the luck of the draw REQ system which it relies on. Not to mention this new competitive focus on the game which leaves casual players matched up with players who can get perfect kills with Battle Rifle’s from half a map away. I’m quickly losing interest in the game due to these things, but I WANT to love this game. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Any opinions worth sharing?
