I just wanted to address some things I believe should be implemented into Infinite that seem to have been put on the back burner in these forums.
Probably the only thing I disagree with is classic zoom. I’ve grown so use to left trigger for zoom, and i’ve Grown to like it. I’m not sure if I could switch back. I doubt that’s a popular opinion though. I do hope with get to customize nameplates and be able to make emblems on top of them. I really do want offline firefight though.

I mean, it already is optional. I played H5 with a controller setting that mapped Zoom to clicking the Right Stick, just like classic Halo.

I don’t really understand what you mean, then. Those weapons still have their zooms.

Halo CE - 4 all had what I call classic zoom. No ADS. Remember when you couldn’t scope in with the AR or sword (well you could but, you couldn’t scope and shoot like you can now)?

Oh so what you really want is removal of smart scope. You don’t want all weapons to have a zoom/alt fire.

Yes and no. I don’t mind if other weapons have zoom but, I don’t want the magnum to have smart link I want it to be like Reach and CE.

Well I play halo 5 with ads and crouch set to sticks. Can’t see why there wouldn’t be this option going forward.

Yes please. When I play Warzone, I only use the Tactical Magnum, Classic BR, or BR55. If smartlink is to return I would at least like an option to play with a classic zoom.

There could always be a control scheme that maps it to left trigger. I think the main issue people have is the mechanics of it compared to the old Halo games, and I agree with them on bringing back the more classic functionality of it (only on ranged weapons, doesn’t bring up some funky holographic scope or something (even arguing from a lore perspective doesn’t make sense), and how it’s not something that needs to be held down (though that’s certainly something I’d be fine with if you could toggle in the settings, like crouch).
Offline Firefight, Customs, etc…LAN has been confirmed so it’ll definitely have offline customs. Firefight however, who knows

Classic ZoomI’m fine with classic or modern as long as it’s only visual. I don’t like that in H5 your gun actually becomes more accurate when zoomed in as opposed to just letting you see farther
