The assault carbine could be reach`s assault rifle

<mark>At 0:57 you can see where they show the menu a litttle picture of what I believe is Reach`s assault rifle. Could this be the assault carbine??

I dont think 343 pans on using multiple AR’s in the game unless there’s a big difference. But if the normal AR has no extended barrel like in that screen, i definatley understand where you are coming from.

Possibly, changing the name from Assault Rifle to Assault Carbine.

On the other side, I don’t see why it would be necessary.

I’m thinking that the Assault Carbine is the MA5K, since it’s the Carbine version of the MA5 Assault Rifle series.

Is that somehow the loadout menu? Also, yes, it does look like the Reach AR.

They already have confirmed that the assault rifle will return. So the Assault Carbine won’t be a duplicate of the AR.

Link not working?

I doubt we’ll see it in the game. The MA37 Mk.IV (Reach) is simply an Army variant of the Fleet’s MA5C (Halo 3) and considering the latter is likely what we’ll be seeing in Halo 4 (with some additions), it doesn’t make sense to include it.

More than likely, it could simply be a placeholder graphic.

You know I just thought of this. The Assault Carbine could be the Assault Rifle with 32 bullets and the regular could be the one with 60 bullets.

This is the only thing I can find that I can think of that could the be Assault Carbine.

So it seems like it could be a weapon that has a longer range than the AR, higher damage output, only holds 30 rounds/clip, and has slightly better accuracy than the AR.

Link Working :stuck_out_tongue:

If it’s a “rifle” then it’s not a “carbine” and vice-versa.

So no.

they are hoving both ive been browsing the web to see what i can find about the assault rifle carbine but nothing so far

That’s just an AR buddy

What you saw with the 32 bullet count is the new model for the Halo 4 Assault Rifle with the bullet capacity of Reach’s Assault Rifle and the look of Halo 3’s Assault Rifle.

While I, too, am interested in the Assault Carbine, the Reach Assault Rifle is just that.

An Assault Rifle.

Remember, Reach was the pinnacle of Humanity’s military innovation’s such as the Sabre program and so on, it’s no surprise they would be working on a model of Assault Rifle that varies from their original, or, if I remember correctly, the Halo: Reach AR is the direct model before Halo CE’s.

So no, Halo Reach’s AR is not the Assault Carbine, that’s the same as saying that you take a Sniper Rifle, take off the long barrel and BAM, its the new DMR.

now that I look at this new Assault Rifle, it makes me realize something, the curve on the top of the AR looks like an Armor plating of sorts so that it doesnt compromise the systems and internal functions of the AR to enemy fire.

Bravo on the detail’s once more 343 =3
