I like that they’re in the game. I get that some people believe that it’s the get owned moment or whatever. Although, I really hate that it’s the same button for the overall melee. Only because it screws me over all the time. I usually never mean to do the assassination cinematic, but I have a bad habit of holding down the button. I got to the point where I don’t like using it because of yoinks and opponent buttbuddies. That’s why I would strongly recommend 343i to have some custom button layout and have TWO melee buttons to use. You could use both buttons to melee like normal, but one wouldn’t do the assassination cinematic and one would. I would use whatever preferred melee option as your main melee in your custom layout (B or whatever you use melee now) and the other in the d pad somewhere out of the way.
Eh, I understand where you are coming from…some what. Happens to me a lot too. But honestly, I’d rather go for the Assassination and if they turn for some reason…STILL get the melee in to do some damage.
Could you imagine? You go for the Assassination with the designated button and right before, the opponent turns out of the Assassination radius…then you don’t even get the damage because the melee is a completely different button =/

They’re already making crouch hard based on the reviews I’ve heard, so we don’t need two melee buttons.
I remember reading somewhere that crouch was ‘b’. Hopefully we can change the layout so crouch is like the other halo games.
That would require much more than just changing up the control scheme, my friend. The input, lay-out, and out-put would need to be changed for the game if you wanted to change the scheme of it, without using Halo’s already-implemented button-layout changer.

Not it’s not like saying that at all. You just sound like an angered deghead. I am a good player, it’s landing the final melee or doing a ninja i have the habit of holding it down. How about you think about your comment before you say that -Yoink!-. Can’t people on forums just say no or yes to questions, what’s with the hate, seriously grow up.
