I came into this game thinking it was going to be some epic story some epic gunplay and the best multiplayer to exist on a console. But I have recently and the world has recently figured out that this game is a shell of its former self 343 Industries killed this game in every way shape and form from 3 missions as the Master Chief to the ungodly balancing of the weapons and mechanics in multiplayer. I am appalled to accept this as a true Halo game and think that they should have taken an extra 3 years to make this game the best it could be. I feel like I wasted $250 for game that was so nostalgic and so key to my experience on xbox I am so upset and disappointed to say that bungie needs to take back halo. I would love to hear what you guys have to say but this is my honest opinion and I feel that this game doesn’t even deserve a 5 out of 10
I agree with you. It needs work. It’s nothing like its predecessors. I enjoy MCC more than I do Halo 5 and that’s saying something.
There are already a ton of threads like this. You want to know what people have to day. Read some.
it does deserve a average rating… its barely half of what the previous Halo games were and doesn’t even really hold up to other shooters anymore…
gameplay is mostly fine, but good god is it horribly bare bones.
I might just put this in the drawer I never played the campaign and play the Master Chief collection

Lol drama queens
Please don’t say Bungee needs to take it back. Have you seen what they did to Destiny? How much of their story was butchered and then put on Grimoire Cards on their site. Oh and the sleazy business model of already developing The Dark Below and House of Wolves within the game then charge $20 for them? That Bungie? Nah we don’t need them
The game play in this Halo is very good plays smooth which is what I want in an FPS. I hate to say this but a lot of people don’t want to adapt to a new game. They want to stomp their feet and moan and what it changed back to what they want while a lot of players have already adapted. Honestly the lack of Blue Team missions was slightly dissapointing but I am okay with it.

The entire halo community in a nutshell.
The majority have been on the losing end ever since 343 took halo but the drama queens still follow and buy 343s games
I think mechanically the game is alright, but it’s brought down by a severe lack of content, microtransactions, and the content that already exists is fairly flawed (Three Blue Team Missions…).
I wouldn’t rate it below a five, but I wouldn’t rate it above a seven either.
Also, stop feeding these companies literal hundreds of dollars. They don’t deserve it, nor do you deserve to get swindled like that.
While I agree that the base game wasn’t good, with games now devs can patch and fix things to make them a lot better. 343i seems to be already doing this by listening to fans. They already said they are adding aiming customization in a future update. One of the largest complaints people have had. They have said that PvE only Warzone is something that could be added if there is enough interest in something like that. And they are adding new content all the time. Sure at launch this game wasn’t great, but it should be getting better and better every month.

No. Bungie isn’t to blame for Destiny. It’s Activision. And you’re extremely ignorant if you think it’s Bungie that butchered Destiny. That’s stupid and if Bungie were with Microsoft, that wouldn’t happen.

It’s not the Halo community. It’s the gaming community. Go on the official forums for any game. At launch they are FILLED with whining. Even games as excellent as The Witcher had nothing but complaints, and you’ll see it this week with Fallout. Gamers are the most spoiler brats on the planet.
Is Halo 5 perfect? Hell no. No game is. Even the early Halo games had their issues. Anyone remember when Bungie promised sprinting for Halo 2? That didn’t happen. Halo CE had TERRIBLE weapon balance. Gamers need to shut up and stop thinking they’re entitled to a company fixing every minor issue players feel they’ve experienced. Back in my day, we didn’t even get post launch patches to fix the issues!

You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think Bungie management was complicit in what happened with Destiny. There is a reason Marty O’Donnnell successfully sued them, not Activision, following his termination. Acitivision is scummy, but O’Donnell and Staten left Bungie. There’s a reason for that.

Ex-Bungie devs have posted about it on forums (I forgot which forums). But basically, Higher ups (Activision) were giving Bungie a LOT of pressure, and they were conflicted because they weren’t sure if having Destiny be an MMO style game would be popular. Basically, they were pressuring Bungie into just making another Halo style game. So, people were quitting, people were getting fired, etc. and a lot of things got scrapped at the last second, with no time to create new things in place.

Sure of course fall into the trap of believing everything you read on the internet. If you can’t take of the Bungie fanboy googles though then you don’t have a lot of hope I guess but your choice.

Because he’s apart of the “bungie can do no wrong croud”
That kotaku gave some serious insight about what happened behind the closed doors.
Yet another Halo 5 -Yoink- & moan thread smh…
Why dont all you haters just go play a different game and stop cluttering up the forum with threads like these??
Did we seriously need another one of these threads? Your mind was made up prior to the game’s release. Excuse me for not taking this post seriously.
You bought this for nostalgia? Well there’s your problem, right there, pal. This game has a “5” after the word “Halo”, not a “3”.
The franchise isn’t dead, your childhood is. Grow up.
