The armor cores for noble team

More Body types the better.

its a sub armor core because i do see it effecting the undersuit like if they bring halo 5 armor like team osiris sets each of them have different under suits… its why i want all of it fully customisable imagine if you could have vales undersuit with tanakas chest/shoulders and locke helmet that would be sick

I’d agree on that. If they’re going to include body types, they can’t just half-heart the feature with three almost indistinguishable choices. Jorge huge, bear mode, Reach/4/5 style females etc.

Nobody is noticing the differences between BD1 and 2 in a shootout.

Armour Kits are affected by the Body Type slider from what ive seen.

I also noticed Yoroi is entirely uneffected by the Body Type slider, which…really disappoints me tbh

the main issue i had with halo 5s multiplayer armor is that all the armor used the same under suit so alot of the armor didn’t fit right… sets need the under suit to match id like a system like what we got in MCC were you can actually change it i still think all reach armor looks alot more grounded then infinites armor probably because of the color system but it feels weird having attachments on my armor in infinite

its almost uncanny i think it has alot to do with the armor colors, thats what made halo 5 ugly was the textures and colors

looking at the dev footage and pre release art just makes me depressed because it looks so good vs the actual game

Uh- I-

Should, they notice the difference between the bodies in a shootout? lmao.

People did in Reach, 4 and 5. The difference between male and female Spartans could be noticed with a glance. Which can be argued as better visual design through the theory of silhouettes. If a piece of visual customization doesn’t immediately make your Spartan stand out from the default, it’s not doing a very good job.

I can’t believe anyone actually cares to see whether or not a Spartan is a man or a woman at a glance, instead of, “That is a hostile target that is shooting at me, I should probably shoot at it.”

Absolutely beyond my comprehension this logic, l m a o .

I figured someone with a trans flag in the background of their avatar would understand player representation. The very reason the new body type system and multitude of voice options were introduced.

Halo Reach, 4 and 5 had a perfect system with just two choices. Halo Infinite, despite having one more option, does not.

I do understand, beyond understand. Thing is, 0, 1 and 2 cover it pretty well. I for one, use 2.

But the plating does not change. Nor should it, honestly. I’m really fine and okay with it just being the bodysuit under the armor, which demonstrably does change.

EDIT: but nobody cares in a firefight, lol.

personally I think the infinite emile looks better lol

but the rest, yeah, seems lazy like missing textures and what not. (minus the arm attachments and body sizes… that’s for gameplay and balance reasons)

Would have preferred no kits and have the different armor pieces in the battle pass because the freakin’ pass is called HEROES OF REACH. You should play the battle pass to unlock the armor and things from the heroes of reach lol

What do the body types cover? Regular waist, thin and thinner? In terms of “gender” representation, they’re androgynous to the point they exclude more people than the binary options from the previous games. Why shouldn’t the plating change? It did in the last three games. That’s like saying “why should you be able to change your helmet? Doesn’t matter if it was a feature from previous games. Spartans all had standardised gear and the games deviate from the books.”

Arguing that nobody cares about the way their Spartan looks is a reductive statement, because A) The system exists precisely to appeal to people who do care, B) We know the binary options from R/4/5 were more eye catching, and C) Recon wouldn’t have been such a big deal back during Halo 3. People noticed the armor, just as they noticed the body types in the past games.

The marketing Reason, the actual reason I suspect was not having enough time. again, Infinite’s dev cycle was apparently nasty.

That’s my belief too. Just slider changing the waist was the quick and easy option. Hell, the voice selection option wasn’t even ready for the Flight tests.

true, back in the flights the Spartan ID section was not accessible.

a shame because as Ytuber Ascended Hyperion has pointed out, The body Slider actually has ALOT of potentially for player expression through the Body slider for Body Types, the potential is there, its just not being properly utilised.

So with regards to the body types, they do change. But the plating… Honestly, I don’t care, lol. Weird to expect factory produced stuff to shift in shape so much. Did you know that a lot of armor types just don’t fit right on the feminine bodytype in Reach? For instance, my Soft Case I love so much, nope. Does not fit at all. All the armor types were fitted to the masculine body type, feminine was an afterthought for the most part. Which totally sucks.

But there were also debates constantly about how hitboxes changed - and they didn’t, but people argued it anyway. Did you know people who chose the female options were often targeted or harassed for it? If you really care, you’d want to reduce that.

But did you also know, people had complaints back then? About how it “Didn’t fit the lore”? About how “All Spartans should be androgynous”?

What we have now is a compromise that also happens to reduce workload on 343i when it comes to placing items on the body. Development wise it’s a massive cost saving measure and changes things quite a bit for the better.

and, frankly, as a trans person (who isn’t really tolerating that being wielded against her), I like the inclusive options they’ve pulled up here. What I don’t like, is that for whatever reason my Spartan had the wrong voice in a match I played today…! Can’t say I was all too chuffed about that, not at all! My Spartan’s voice option is 100% more important than her body option in every imaginable way. Like, I use the “Heavy” armor in my Reach kit now, because hot damn, while I DO have an hourglass it’s nowhere as ridiculous as the one in Reach. Thanks 343i, for helping out with the dissonance between my Spartan’s body and my own!

Take it from a trans person you’re arguing with, what they’ve done is good. Basically every thread, video, post, that’s unhappy with it is just some angry cis person whinging on about how suddenly they’re not represented because people who are outside of the binary, are finally represented.

I should not have to tell you what that seems like. (It seems like being mad we’re included at all or prioritized in any way shape or form.)

Yoroi’s is unchangeable as of present

People have told you before that they don’t feel that body type is very representative of them. I understand you feel represented, but other people don’t. Type 1 also had armor which does not fit, which isn’t canon with MK V [B] if we look at Reach. And Spartans IVs were all augmented in adulthood, so it’s likely there would be noticeable differences between body types. People want a body type that represents them. A lot of women don’t feel type 1 does that. Don’t you want other people to feel represented like you already have said you do?

Too bad I guess. If someone can’t decide their Spartan is the gender they want based off what we have now, like we’ve had to for literally FOREVER then I guess they have to cope, seethe and mald.

In other words: How’s it feel?

No one has complained that non-binary representation exists. With having multiple body types that can have what they do now, and have bodies closer to Reach as well. More is more inclusive, no?
