Why does the arena playlist only have roughly 45 players in it? Today I had to wait 20-25 minutes just find a match. I only played (but won both) my first two matches but my video game time was up so I had to stop. Overall I had fun playing it but a bit annoyed that I had to wait so long just to play 2 matches. Can anyone tell me why the population in this playlist is so low?
Mainly because the settings in it were not even close to what competitive Reach could have been.
Bungie refused to put the most competitive settings into the playlist (MLG).
By the time 343 got their hands on Arena, it was to little too late. They eventually added TU settings and removed the Jetpack, but by then, all the players had left to play in other playlists.
If you’re looking for a truly competitive playlist, try out the MLG playlist.

I hope it’s not going to be all pros there…

It probably will be
Arena was meant to be the go-to competitive playlist, but ended up being the exact opposite. MLG is the place you want to go for that type of experience.

I may still have a “chance” since I spend most of my time playing Reach in the Rumble Pit playlist.
I’m sure I’m going to be able to play some more arena or try out the MLG playlist that is if I don’t start playing Reach so late into my video game period.
So far so good. I got a chance to try out a match in the MLG playlist.
