Why should we care about what the gun looks like, it’s a video game.
All weapons can kill if you mindlessly spam them. The AR performs better with burst fire in certain situations.
And it already performs well without burst fire, soooooo?
How is the AR hurting the combat loop? Because you can’t just hold down the trigger and get a kill like you claimed.

I out-AR people all the time by burst firing, keeping my aim centered, or getting the 2 shot headshot. Just because you don’t know how to use it doesn’t mean it lacks skill.

Actually I said it can get kills by just holding down the trigger. Where’s the skill in holding a single button with little regard to aiming, tracking and counterplay? where’s the tight gunbattles of CE’s magnum or the reversals of 3’s BR when in Infinite you can just bullet hose with no set up and win a good majority of times.
Anyone saying you have to burst fire clearly doesn’t know what they are on about.

You can just full auto at close to medium range, and considering how Halo is well renowned for close range gunbattles your point of medium range goes out the window considering now range is irrelevant ( plus hitscan makes everything easy )
Range is relevant. If you’re holding down the trigger at close range and getting kills, there’s no problem. If it’s a midrange and you consistently get kills without bursting, there’s a problem.
Prove your claims. And your wrong again. The ar is projectile.
Every weapon in this game is projectile based.
Like the Reach AR? No thanks, that thing was a tickle gun. Halo 4 had it right by making the AR actually viable. It’s fun and easy to use, and 343i seems to have recognized that in hindsight given how the AR was handled in Halo 5 which needless to say is a hot mess.
I don’t need to prove something visible in the slayer playlist right now.
The AR shouldn’t be killing on it’s own anyways considering it’s lack of skill.
Hitscan, show me a clip of someone dodging AR shots at range despite the crosshair being directly on them.

Who said Reach? and even then Reach’s AR in a playlist with limited pre-TU DMR spawns works fine.
H3’s AR was the best in the series.
Keep in mind I know it’s technically projectile based, but that fact means nothing if the projectiles move so fast you don’t need to lead at any range you fight at.
H2 isn’t “hitscan” but you cannot dodge BR projectiles so it’s de facto hitscan

just another typical BR stan wanting every other gun besides BR/pistol to suck so they can get their rocks off with BR battle after BR battle.
Varitey is good. If you’re dying constantly to an AR then you’re playing incorrectly and need to level up. Perhaps play angles better, keep your distance, work on your movement, don’t run around mindlessly or out in the open. Quit whining about “no skill”. If they have no skill and you’re dying, what’s that say about you? If you come in with the “i’m not dying, I kill AR users all the time” argument, then what’s the problem?
You just want BRs everywhere. I love the BR, it’s my favorite gun. But it should be a pickup because it’s just too good.
