-Maybe Mendicant Bias
-A Precursor
Any theories and suggestions are welcome as I don’t know much about the halo 4 plot that has been revealed. Sorry if there is any ignorance.
I can only assume its the master builder.
You might have to mark off the Mendicant Bias theory, cuz he’s been destroyed in Halo 3. For he was on the Ark when Installation 04B activated.

This is Mendicant Bias as seen in Halo Legends: Origins I. Look in the middle at the symbol, this is known as the Iris symbol. It was used during Halo 3’s ARG and seems to have been adopted by 343i. Now look at this picture of Cortana’s eye, there is is again!

If not him, then at least the fragment of him that was brought to the Ark by the Covenant since they had a fragment on High Charity.
Personally I lean towards the master builder as a picture of a cryptum has been confirmed and he displays a hatred towards humans and willingness to use halo rings. An ideal villain in my opinion. Although it’d be a nice twist if a fragment of Mendicant Bias was in Cortana. Hence the Iris symbol connections…
Well I guess I should tell everyone who he is, it is in fact General Zod. 343 have somehow weaved him into Halo canon and I can’t wait to fight my Nemesis.
