The Aim Assist in this game is too damn high!!!

Yeah, it’s sickening :nauseated_face:, I know! Yet people want it to be buffed even a bit !?

Honestly the best solution I see going forward is giving controller players an option to either turn on aim assist or to turn it off. Or a slider that you can use to choose how much you want, 0-10, with zero being none at all and 10 being the default aim assist that would have been in the game already.

The more settings and configurations to tune my aim to my liking the better and not to mention the increase in the skill gap. The better players will be the ones who take the time to understand how each and every single setting they change is benefitting/harming their gameplay. Gone are the days of just choosing Look Sensitivity 1-10 and that was it.

With the modern introduction of deadzones, look acceleration, left stick movement sensitivity, aim curve, etc. to fps games now, Infinite needs to give console players the biggest array of options in a halo game to date, to fine tune their aiming and not try to do the job for us. So definitely don’t even increase the aim assist the tiniest bit. It’s clearly still prevelant. If anything drop it down more and increase the array of settings we have for aiming.

Yeah, I was actually shocked because it felt like a fairly skill based gun. Yes It was easy to hit if you took your time and single fired, but if you auto fired it was all over the place.

Op, there was almost 0 aim assist involveded in that clip. He strayfed and timed his shots. I never see the reticule moving with assist at all in that clip. There is also no magnetism on the sniper as well.

I thought aim assist was completely fine. Felt way more smooth than most of the other games.

I didn’t seem to have any aim assist. playing on pc with controller and xbox both felt the same.

Agree. He was in academy too. In pvp for me it seemed like when you try to shoot your teammates in halo 3 lol. since teammates don’t have any aim assist on them its harder to hit them.

He is on a perfectly level ground strafing against stationary targets that aren’t shooting back and overreacts when there is the tiniest amount of stickiness.

Get back to me when you try this in a 4v4 match where enemies are unpredictable, actually fight back and aren’t on level ground and you have to aim in three dimensions.

This must be a troll post lol. The aim assist on controller in actual slayer matches was almost non-existent. Keyboard and mouse players have a huge advantage right now with such low aim assist on controller.

you’re tripping bro, the aim assist on the sniper is non existent in PVP. being a moderate/semi good sniper in H3 (which is a pretty hard sniper IMO) i almost couldn’t land any shots on enemy’s.

Halo infinite needs classic halo aim assist especially since we’re expected to compete with PC.

The aim assist actually isn’t that bad compared to other games I’ve seen.

Nah, the aim assist in Infinite is next to non-existent. That vid is against unmoving targets, on level ground, with stead’s and good timing. Controllers are gonna need a slight bump if they wanna touch crossplay bc Commando w m&kb is insane.

I would love to see this Swat “Joker” play some PvP, instead of aiming on Bots standing still and say: ohhhh look at thaaaaaat…

Everyone who is a true gamer and knows how to play games realizes in seconds, that aim assist needs to be tuned up.

Also, you are just doing horizontal aiming, what happens when someone is jumping and strafing. Any vertical movement will make you shake for sure, you are not consistent anymore.

Meanwhile, M&K players are, so you will always have a huge disadvantage, even bigger then before.

Let’s not try to pull the “true gamer” nonsense. The aim assist needs to be increased slightly.
