The active profile has changed. Returning to start

I can’t get past the start screen. On PC, every time I press any key to continue this profile change message pops up and I’m stuck at the same screen.

I’ve tried signing out of my profile and logging in, but as soon as I log in this message comes back again. Tried restarting my computer, and signing out of the windows store as well.

Can’t play Halo Wars 2 currently.

Don’t complain too much about what is going on guys. I did and got my comment deleted.

The Lords are out.

Bought the game a few days ago and just now wanted to start it up. Every time I press any key to continue the message “active profile has changed” pops up and returns me right to where I was (the start screen). New PC with clean Win 10 Creators Update installed.

My first experience with an Xbox game on PC. Up till now I thought everyone who has these Win 10 Store and game issues is just nuts. But now that I’m experiencing this myself on a clean install I am f-ing pissed. This is just terrible. Luckily I didn’t pay full price but this is still mindboggling

I’m hopeful this is just temporary, as a patch is being rolled out:

On a side note, the forum posts have very poorly worded titles.

Sketch says they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

I still have this after the update fully downloaded, before and after. Makes me feel like it’s a issue on their end.

They’ve fixed it. Hard reset your Xbox and you should be good
