The Achilles Armor to hard to get?

Dont get me wrong i always love a challenge, Halo 3 made me 100% the game, halo reach show me how to save and halo 4 made me complete comendation for awesome armor and stances, but forceing you to join a bunch or randoms i feel is a bit of a overkill. Im in a company of 11 that are my friends from way back and only 2 are mostly active (including myself) due to work and life. I dont want to leave my company so i can join 50+ randoms in a clan to get this armor. Is it possible for 343i to reduce the kill count for smaller clans or even make it a solo way of requiring this armor? that will be nice.

It would be nice if it scaled the requirements based on your Company’s population. But then people would just boot all of the stragglers to get the helmet. Yoinked if you do, yoinked if you don’t.

What do they mean “company”?

It’s meant to be hard. That’s the point.

Jeez better than having is part of the horrid RNG system, the Achilles armour is motivating me to be active in a Spartan company for it.

But why force you to be in a spartain company? there basicly saying be in a 50+ company or you’re not seeing this armor in your inventory anytime soon

Well then get in a company and get social. Not that hard.

You would not survive in an MMO my friend, I am used to interacting with hundreds of randoms, trust me, it’s not as bad as you think. I have made better friends through “random” guilds and clans than by any other means. No harm in trying, they want you to enjoy the Spartan company feature- and reward company efforts.

Dude chill out. You’re acting like part of the 10% of scum in the halo community. Fact of the matter is mot everyone wants to join random, unskilled players in order to grind for a helmet that isn’t even all that great. (Based on comparison to others) It should easily be an in game unlock for completeing a series or just a single hard challenge. They only did this to force you to join a spartan company which they think will further promote the social aspect of the game. They are sorely mistaken and this is just going to be another thing that more players will dislike due to not being able to get the armor.

Recruit for your company then. You can keep the friends that are in it and allow people that want to grind for the armour in as well. It’s not a particularly challenging set of things to do. The only things that’ll take a while are kills from the grave, killing drivers using a sniper rifle, and the “Lucky” commendation.

I hear you. I play with my old clan mates and haven’t even joined a company. We have done a lot of grinding since H2 but ppl get busy and if you don’t/can’t contribute toward the Achilles armour you get booted. It’s a nice helmet can live without it.
