The 5 biggest complaints I have seen so far

  • People saying the everyone dies too fast - Seen a lot of people saying this, that it feels more twitch based than skill based because everyone dies much faster than any other Halo game.- People hate sprint. People love sprint. - I have seen a lot of people saying things on both side of this argument but at the end of the day I do believe I see a decent bit more people saying they dislike sprint or at least dislike unlimited sprint.- Not enough auto aim - A lot of people, admittedly myself included, feel like it feels less Halo…ey… without a bit more auto aim than we currently have. Not necessarily bringing it up because I want it fixed, just see it talked about a lot. (although I would like it fixed haha)- Smart Link/ADS - This is a feature I am decently ok with but a LOT of other people don’t like it. I think it goes hand in hand with a lot of people reporting the kill times being too quick. I feel like if things got slowed down to a pace more familiar with the other Halo games this complaint would go away altogether.- Feels like CoD - This is probably single handedly the most repeated statement I have seen, people saying that the overall feel is way too similar to CoD.

Youre right… Ha get ready for battle though!

I don’t think anyone wants more auto aim. Less is best.

Yeah, the criticisms are all over the map. I have opinions on all these points, but in the end I’ll adapt to whatever they decide to do, and it will still be Halo. Halo isn’t dead, 343 hasn’t ruined Halo, and unlimited sprint is not a sign of the end-times. People are so melodramatic.

And for the record: Yes, please, more aim assist. A LOT more.

I’m sorry, but NOBODY is asking for less auto aim. Thats just you. People have been PRAISING the less auto aim because it once again feels like Halo 1 and 3. Theres still plenty of auto aim in the game, just not compared to H2A which has an obscene amount. Less auto aim means a higher skill gap. Shooting is finally once again a skill to hone which keeps players playing and rewards those with a steady hand. Anyone who actually likes auto aim, like n Halo 2A is obviously just wanting free shots with no skill involved. Seriously, how can you not like how aiming feels in H5? smh.

I originally thought this too. But if you have ever gotten in a BR fight with someone on your own team? This is absolutely no aim assist. Halo would be awful if it were like that. Less isnt always best! Gotta fight the right amount.

One of the main problems i’ve seen is the Kill Cam which is stupid to have. Why is this been added?

Sparten Charge and Kill Cam…

Sparten Charge messes up assassination and one hit back kills more often then not…

And Kill Cam is just dumb

everything else feels great, of course some tweek are needed but the foundation looks good.

Also this bull crap aim assist, should put a delay on it usage so we can stop this crap of zooming in and out to use it.

Something that annoys me about the Sprint/No Sprint argument is that people throw “majority of players agree” around like the consensus of comments on these forums means anything. At most, half of the people who play many AAA games will ever get involved with that game’s online community or any discussions. Consensus on a forum like this is like talking about whether console or PC is better on the StarCraft forums.
That being said, I do think sprint shouldn’t be unlimited. This is Halo, not Sonic.

I seriously don’t get why people are asking for more auto aim. Like, really I can’t figure it out. Are you wanting the game to be noobified? Obviously there needs to be some - its needed in controller based FPS. But anyone who actually likes the amount that was in H4 and H2A are just wanting an easy game.

Haha ive been thinking this for days. Waypoint is gonna be a very biased 343 loving place (especially now that many older players gave up on the series). But yes thanks you!

Meh. It seems like everyone is either 343s best friend, or believes they are manifestations of the devil, except more incompetent. No one seems to be in the middle.

People don’t die too fast- when it’s not laggy or netcody it’s fine.
Sprint is just the natural evolution of shooters. Who cares who thought of it first. If everyone worries who thought of it first, then Halo and COD copied Doom.
We have to work for our shots…
Halo has always had Smart scope or smart link- it just looks more futuristic, new-gen, immersive now.
It doesn’t feel like COD.

My biggest complaints are lag and/or netcode issues = enemy bullets vs my nerf rounds on many games, finding players, grenade travel bounciness, and no beyond the grave nade kills.
It’s a Beta- it’s a gift to upcoming fans, and a tweakasaurus tool to get feedback about bugs, balance and gameplay.

Great game all in all.

So sick of COD references.
