The 10 Must Haves for Halo 5 Multiplayer

Many things that were missing from Halo 4 need to be in Halo 5 state those below! And discuss what Halo 4 lacks and what Halo 5 needs!

1 - Custom Game Searching

2 - Dedicated Servers

3 - At least 20 Launch Maps

4 - Global Warfare for multiplayer (As seen in the things cut from Reach)

5 - File-Browser working at launch

6 - Entire section just for community made content, where you can browse the most downloaded maps and screenshots (Like Forza’s Storefront)

7 - Skill Based Ranking System as well as progression system AT LAUNCH

8 - Larger Scale battles, Maps suited for Pelicans/Mammoths

9 - All Weapons, Gametypes and Vehicles brought back as well as a significant amount of new ones

10 - Full Terrain editor, reminiscent of Far Cry 2/3’s Map editor

Add your own below and the good ones will be edited into the OP

How is this Halo 4 related? Its not. This should be in the general discussion area.

The xbox 360 doesn’t have the hardware to host a game for more than 16 people, now does it. Or is that just because of the fact that the games doesn’t have dedicated servers?

There was a game long ago on the 360 (can’t remember the name) but it has 30 v 30 and it had standard peer to peer MM it was awesome but they shut it down after a few years because not enough people played it

and I bet 400$ this game didn’t look half as good as halo 4.
the xbox is ancient. it just can’t do that.
want a proof? BF3 (xbox) is restricted to 16 players, while BF3 (PC) is 64 players.

Happy wars has 12 v 12  Lol

what exactly is global warfare?

I fully agree with this list, but they’re all great ideas, so 343i won’t even consider them. -_-

I’m not saying it’s impossible for the 360 to do that. it’s just that :
1- the better a game looks, the more compromises there has to be, that includes number of models (players, vehicles, weapons, particules, etc) onscreen at a time. Halo 4 looks GREAT, so obviously there are downsides thanks to the ancient hardware.
2- it just doesn’t go well with Halo.

Global warfare is “Global warfare” It was cut from Reach.

Basically, you’re put in a huge open map, and everything is going to -Yoink-, it’s just all out war with frigates fighting in the sky and crashing everywhere and gigantic armies fighting on the ground. Youtube it.

Probably no DMR, thats pretty high up there on my personal list. I like where they went with the armor unlocks and add more to them. Also make all Specializations available at launch. Localized search is also a must.

They probably cut it because it wouldn’t work with the new graphics engine.

To much for the 360 to handle.

It was probably far too ambitious for that of a console game. Maybe on the next xbox, games will be able to handle more than 40 people in a single game.

30 vs 30? and no one played it? I for one can’t find it on google so I shall assume this is not true until proof can be provided.

OT: Love the ideas but the question is: would Microsoft fund 343 for such awesome advancements?

I found half life mods, clan battles featuring KSI vs MGC, forge maps, and teasers. There’s no such thing as what you describe. Can you prove me other wise?

halo 5 needs weapons customization(e.g… laser pointers, extended magazines, extended barrels, more weapon skins etc.)in multiplayer they need more vehicles like phantoms, pelicans, falcons, wolverines maybe even a mammoth. they should also bring back the armor lock and duel wield. in Spartan ops the enemies need to be a bit more challenging like hunters you can just run at them and just keep on melee attacking. the promethean guns need to be crazy powerful and only ordnance except for the light rifle, bolt shot and suppressor which could be counted as earlier forms of promethean technology. you should also be able to take out your melee knife and use it. also have a mode where you can’t see the enemies gamer tag when you look at them it would make it more easier to hide and make it more realistic make more destructible objects. bring back the old guns like the flamethrower and grenade launcher make the sky limit higher and darker scarier maps for flood. add weather conditions like snow, rain etc. and be able to swap your grenades for land mines make percussion grenades which explode on impact. you should also be able to carry more grenades have two Spartans hubs where one your an elite and the other one a Spartan also give the flood hammer hand which acts as a gravity hammer and make it possible to put down AI characters in forge. I guess that’s it, and whatever you do, don’t take away armor abilities I LOVE THEM! AND USE THEM ALL THE TIME!

Hey dude, I would suggest reading the rules before posting on dead topics

Makes this place less cluttered.

Only game I remember was Frontlines:Fuel of War. I think it was 24v24 but it could have been 30v30. The game was epic but it took TONS of team work. It was like BF3 mixed with Black Ops 2(semi future tech).
Either way 360 and ps3 are capable of large scale MP but it might come at a cost like graphics.
