That's why banshee should be removed...

…at least from every objective gametype, if not from every map.Watch this , and then if you still blame people for quitting games like this, I guess you’re just like the kid in the plane…

I’m not able to watch the video right now, but I’m sure I can take a guess at the horrors it is depicting.

The Banshee needs to be rebalanced.

Here is how I would do it:

-Flips take away 1/3 or 1/4 of the boost bar.
-Banshee Bomb receives a slight decrease in power/blast radius.
-Primary weapons receive a buff.
-Shielding receives a buff.

I think this is reasonable, allowing the Banshee to still be a viable and enjoyable vehicle without raining sheer death from the skies.

Oh look, another Banshee massacre. You know what to do 343. Give it a fix, or at the very least, just remove it from the damn game.

That would do nicely. Wouldn’t do it any different myself.

Looks like a bunch of bad players got taken out by a good player. It happens, and it sucks. Reach’s vehicle’s are very easy to counter, seeing as a a rain of DMR fire can take out anything in this game.

I used to be a Banshee hater until I realized it can easily be shot down with team fire, Or by using the sniper rifle. So in actuality its the teams fault.

The banshee was supposed to be over powered.

^this

I don’t think a banshee pilot has ever got more than a killing spree on my team, and I’ve played every “known” pilot (lol).

Just teamshoot it.

Just shoot the damn thing. Seriously, between lock on rockets, team shooting DMRS, snipers, lasers and plas pistols…if this happens to you, you just suck.

A good player? Are you kidding me?!?! At least half the time he was either spawn-killing or kill-stealing. It is near impossible to hit the Banshee (which is now a stunt plane) while it is evading. I can’t even shoot it down with a Rocket, which has Lock-on! People like Toa Freak are what gave us the OP Banshee/Angel of Death in the first place!

> Just shoot the damn thing. Seriously, between lock on rockets, team shooting DMRS, snipers, lasers and plas pistols…if this happens to you, you just suck.

Of all of those, only the Sniper is fast enough and does enough damage to be a viable counter.

The DMR doesn’t do damage fast enough, the LAser is on so few maps and is easily dodged, and PP can’t do crap.

Plus, every time the Banshee flips it not only throws off everyone’s aim, but breaks Rocket Lock-Ons and causes in-flight rockets to careen wildly off-course trying to track it.

Many of the Banshee issues could be solved by giving the FRC a much longer reload though.

I can’t believe how many people think it’s that simple. Not everyone has a coordinated team that can team shoot it. There is not always someone with rockets, a laser, or a sniper. It’s not that black and white, and you guys know it.

Most players play with randoms. At least 4 people on your team are gonna be busy fighting one of the 7 players not in the banshee. The other 3 are either shooting at the banshee, respawning, or being idle. A lot of times this gives the banshee free roam to banshee bomb all the distracted players, and it can do this while rolling around infinitely avoiding the few shots being shot at it. Any player can do this. It takes no skill, and more than not gets players running riots without trying. Not to mention it doesn’t promote playing objective gametypes, which already has little incentive for players.

So, you can’t just tell us to team shoot it. I am not my whole team, and the players on my team are usually not going to catch on or listen to me.

Actually, I agree with Toa Freak. It did look like a lot of bad randoms who were not communicating with each other. The banshee is very easy to counter if you are using team work, and there are a lot of power weapons (even if we aren’t talking about the DMR) on that map. Team fire would have easily brought that banshee down, as you could see somewhere in that video they finally decided to start shooting at the thing that was killing them constantly. And I have to give that pilot some props, he clearly knew what he was doing. The banshee is not a guaranteed unfrigginbelievable, and if my team was playing against it he probably wouldn’t have lasted past a killing frenzy. I noticed someone was using active camo, if he had decided to shoot the banshee instead of blowing his cover on the ground troops he would have least landed a few decent shots. And before criticizing me of being someone who does the same thing I am actually only a decent banshee pilot, I don’t think I ever recall making it past a running riot with the thing.

And that’s fine, but when playing alone (which I have to because I don’t have a ton of friends who play reach) you get uncoordinated teams a lot more than not. What you guys need to understand is that it needs to be fair for this situation too. The Banshee could be reworked to be fair, and still be a valuable asset for team games and random games alike.

Go in random, expect random.

And you sound like you just want the kill handed to you on a silver platter.

> Just teamshoot it.

This. Halo is a team game and balancing it around the individual makes no sense.

Also Team Shooting a Banshee is nearly impossible on elite slayer

Don’t do that. Not everyone can get a team together. Just because you can doesn’t mean I can. I have other priorities, and just because I can’t get a team doesn’t mean the game should be unfair for me.

I sound like I want kills handed to me on a silver platter? Says the guy who I’m sure gets the banshee with his team and gets a perfection without trying. If you play with a team, I’m sure you get randoms and this happens. It needs to be even for both. Not just for you and your team that already has an advantage against randoms. Just please, think about it before you reply.

Well, I mean in this case it’s a matter of priority. I think it’s pretty much common sense to drop your current task to at least attempt to kill the thing that has just caused you a 10 time death streak. They actually decided to not try to kill the banshee except for one of the players who realized half way through the game that maybe killing the banshee might be a good idea. There were plenty of weapons on that map to take it out, even the DMR they spawned with would’ve done work after awhile even if they had to die multiple times to slowly hurt it. Also you have to remember, even though it sounds unfair, there has to be a way to get the unfrigginbelievable medal. It’s simply too hard to get without a little help, and it wouldn’t be fair for the game to have an unattainable medal.

You’re complaining you can’t take it down because you don’t have any power weapons under control and because you search randomly. That sounds pretty silver plattery to me. One person using a DMR can take a Banshee out (or damage it enough that your random teammates finally notice and help you).

I pretty much never use the Banshee, by the way.
