That's not fair at all

I don’t know why if someone write something in his language u hav to close his topic, let someone that understand his language to answer him or translate his question, ok u don’t understand anything??? no problem some other person could do that so don’t close those topic forums exist for help people not to close the door in theyr face for language disgiuses

I agree! ciao B

this is not fair at all, he has a good point and topic should not be closed only because of some problems with translation… Hi B. XD

> I agree! ciao B

EHHHH??? CHI SEI??? XD

Btw thanks this is not acceptable people have the right to post on theyr language if there’s a rule that denied that it sucks

There aren’t any mods who know the languages… They usually recommend they use a translator… Pretty simple.

I don’t go posting on French websites in English expecting an answer?

Haha I agree though.

Yeah I agree, although those people posting in other languages should use Google translate though, make things easier for the rest of us. Is it just me or is this thread in the wrong section?

As bad as it is, they need to post in English on an English website. It is part of the forum rules too.

This site doesn’t support other languages yet, so they will have to follow the rules until then.

I’ve message a mod about it and basically they don’t have a way of translating it into another language, and because the great majority of way-point community is English speaking they must be done in English.

I don’t like it or agree with it at all. Something I have always believed and that is that every human has the right to speak their voice in the Language of their choosing.

All in all it just sucks! That’s my vote…

To bad there is not some way for you to automatically translate your words to the language most people speak and understand on this forum.

Unfortunately I dont think there is enough demand for any particular foreign language to create even a section.

The mods could just translate for them instead of editing their post in a language they don’t understand telling them to use a translator.

Fortunately it isn’t hard to copy paste from google translate.

salva amicii latinae…(I think that’s how you spell it, I’ll just start posting in Latin now, you can translate it yourself)

Is there a sarcasm translator LOL

A mod doesn’t (or at least SHOULDN’T) edit a post without first reading it.

What’s the difference here then? If they don’t know what’s being said, they could drop it into Google translator to find out.

But if you don’t understand what’s being said… how can it be offensive?

Waypoint needs to foster a global community, and drop this silly anti-anything-other-than-English Rule.

That’s the problem, if a post is reported to have offensive language in another language, the translator might now even recognise the words as they are never 100% accurate.

The mods aren’t equipped to moderate other languages.

That’s debatable. I think they are equipped and just can’t get passed the stigma of it.

Sadly doing that would be grounds for a mod to come in a do things unpleasant. Like I said, the entire situation…sucks!

It was a joke…
