These new skins, although behind a dumb pay wall, are freaking awesome. I think I got all 14 of them and a 343i pistol. These skins are simply BAD-yoink-!

Lol take it man, I’m back in my ATLAS armor rocking the 343i pistol and Blue team AR
And of course, the best skins in the game are not rewards for Commendations or Achievements, but rather what is, in essence, a $70 paywall (for the majority of Halo players). I won’t bother trying to unlock them because I’d much rathed spend my REQ points on the 40 Gold Packs I have left to unlock.
I redeemed my PowerUp Rewards points from Gamestop before choosing not to renew my membership and got $15 worth of Xbox Live credit. Sooooo I caved and decided to actually spend the $10 on the req pack (was expecting more than 5 reqs though…). For obvious reasons, I wanted some Noble skins too, but I’m happy with what I got. I got Fireteam Osiris for my pistol (which is also currently my emblem so it matches), and Spirit of Fire for my AR. I also got Last Slice for my AR but I’ll probably never use that. Too silly for me (although I did use the french fry pistol one for a while).

THATS how you make someone play damn near every halo and use achievements correctly.
It took me a day to get 80000, and to be honest I wasn’t overly impressed with the skins. I’ll keep playing though because I enjoy the game and want to get 100% completion, it gives me something to aim for as I did all the Gold packs a few weeks back.

As much as I tend to like this sort of thing and liked the original unlock requirements for Helioskrill, the fact of the matter is that these skins are for multiplayer and plenty of people don’t play much or any of the campaign, while putting countless hours into PvP. AR/Pistol skins are most relevant to the hardcore Arena audience.
Is there anything that I can only get through this pack? I’m not talking better chances, but exclusive content tied to this pack that cannot be obtained eventually through regular gold and silver packs?
I…sadly…spent the money to get them all…I know I’m a loser. I’m using the Blue Team. I’m just not that big a fan of the 343i ones they look dumb to me. I love noble team and blue team but I play as my bae Linda so I use blue team. Nice change of pace from gold standard considering its not all that gold lol.

Yes. The new skins can ONLY be gotten through this pack currently. Yeah kinda bummy I know. I really wanted those blue team skins though.
The UNSC and Osiris skins are good. Anything with shades of grey followed by subtle detailing is bound to at least be decent. They don’t look out of place in the hands of a soldier.
Conversely, anything with extremely vibrant and non-neutral colors just sucks. Noble sucks, Blue Team sucks. ODST is slightly better but isn’t really my thing.
Aren’t there 14 skins? I don’t think that is $70, wouldn’t it be $30 or 240,000RP to get them all?
Still dang expensive, so much for a shark skin Magnum and Noble AR :,(

Really? Besides the 343 ones, I think the rest look pretty awful.
