Thats a little odd...well to me anyway

about 2 weeks or so I was playing and my team and I were doing work, back to back wins, and everything was good. The next few games we went on a losing streak; random spawns, people “one shot” and still surviving, being spawned into battles, spawning next to the person who just killed you multiple times, direct grenade and rocket shot and no kill given then back again to winning streak. I’ve being playing halo and just FPS in general for a while now so I understand the whole " you win some you lose some" which I’m 100% ok wit; cant win them all. I decided to hop on waypoint to check stats a few days later and noticed that it was damn near even on my win lose for the pass 20 games. I won 6 games back to back then I lost 6 games back to back. I won 3 games back to back then I lost 3 games back to back and it continued In a pattern. I’ve also noticed the majority of people I run into when I play sit between a 48-51% in percentage. I know H5 is suppose to be competitive but that’s a little to weird to me lol.

I feel the game is designed to keep everyone “even”…idk just curious if this has happens to anyone else

I get the same feeling. My win/loss used to be way above 50 (highest was 56 I think?), but not it tends to hover around 49%.
Some of that was my fault I suppose, playing a huge amount of Fiesta when it was out, and loosing a lot of those games cause noobs or bad luck…but now Im not even sure anymore.

I’ve thought that cause I’m a solo player with a 45% win percentage (with it staying around 50% till I unlocked every thing then it started dipping) and matches haven’t gotten easier as my skill improved only harder and now I feel like I’m unlearning what I learned but I blamed most of that on bad servers cause in the trickiest situtations there would be a lot of frame drops.

Im not seeing a variety of players, I don’t think. I tend to see the same names a lot or the same companies depending on my search preferences being the main factor for changing the people.

I think it you may be on to something OP. I think matchmaking tends to put you into matches based on how well you’re doing. If you go on a winning streak, they put you up against players that have a good chance of beating you. Maybe I’m just being a conspiracy theorist though.

its just super weird to me. I started talking with other people who play H5 about it and they also noticed the weird flux. The even crazier thing about it is that when I do lose during those times, the players are not killing me with any type of skill. I spawn next to the opposing team or in someone’s sights and I’m dead before I even get a change to touch my joy stick to move. Like don’t give me wrong I’ve ran into some teams that have their -Yoink- together and dominate the map but these instances they are not even remotely close to being difficult just weird stuff happens.

same here! I hate to be the one to be saying that something is up but I honestly wouldn’t put it passed 343i to do something like that to make kids who are really bad get a chance of feeling that they’re good.

Well if you have someone who keeps getting stomped on, they’re not gonna keep playing. So I suppose some way to make things a bit more balanced might make sense.
No clue what they would do though…

This might be exactly what it is, tbh. Perhaps not SPECIFICALLY that, but putting two teams who are on win streaks against each other makes sense in theory at least. It would be a balanced game.

didn’t think of it that way but I does make sense to put 2 win streak teams to break the Tie

I think this has been a thing throughout Halo’s matchmaking. I remember in H3 going on winning streaks, and then getting a string of hard matches. Definitely in Reach I started to realize that it was the system. You win, you win, you win, and then you get matched with other people who are also winning. Hasn’t changed yet.

I think you are absolutely right. Check out my recent wins and losses.

Not a conspiracy since it happens to me all the time. If I win a couple or a few a games, I’ll usually get put in games against full parties and/or my teammates will be terrible. The game is wanting you to lose.
