"That" teammate.. facepalm

in every game there is ALWAYS at least one player who feels entitled to your vehicle even if you got it first, fair and square. WHY?
halo is the only game with immature players like that. i’ll get in a tank/mantis before someone else and they make it their mission to bombard you with plasma grenades and bullets until you blow up. i mean FFS, they’re so stubborn they’d rather destroy our team’s only mantis and give the other team a huge advantage.

i was just playing BTB on rangranok, i got the mantis fair(no one else went for it), and i was alive for like 5 minutes getting kills. at some point i see an enemy coming up behind me so i jump out of the mantis and manage to kill him. then i immediately get back in the mantis. but some dumb -Yoink- teammate (must have seen the open mantis from a distance with me and an enemy fighting beside it) wanted it but couldn’t get it in time. so he threw all his grenades at me and i blew up.
i just turned my xbox off. F- players like that, they ruin halo for me.

Some cheeseball did this to me yesterday on Exile when I got the Tank. I don’t bother playing with teammates like that so I just quit out and found another game. The best part is he had a K/D of .5 with -5000 spread. Ah well, my buddy wanted to play BTB so this happens every once in a while, it’s so childish and puts the team at a disadvantage (especially on Ragnarok/Exile).

or people who stand in front of you when you have the sniper rifle and they want it, but were to slow to get to it first or didn’t notice that it had spawned

I jumped in the gauss hog gunseat on Exile the other day and my driver, most likely butthurt from not getting to the gunner seat in time, drove it straight to the bridge, stopped and hopped out for the banshee.

I got essploded.

> or people who stand in front of you when you have the sniper rifle and they want it, but were to slow to get to it first or didn’t notice that it had spawned

and those are also some of the people that will justify their reason for quitting why can’t these people understand

“you can’t ALWAYS!!! get what you want”, do they have any F_ing idea how much hate they will get from their team, heck what makes them think they can do better in the vehicle anyway?. or evan any good at using the sniper for that matter?.

its simple just pick up another weapon or get in another vehicle, who knows you might get it next time and hey in the meantime help your teamate take out the guy who shooting him.

I guess people forgot that they can’t always have it their way,

They can do that, but then when you get revenge by splattering their -Yoinks!-, you get booted.

> They can do that, but then when you get revenge by splattering their -Yoinks!-, you get booted.

well then the least you can do is know this, if they lose the game, thats the jerk’s fault.

I ignore and move on. It’s the best possible solution.

This is the reason why i strongly believe Halo needs to incorporate Halos 2 clan list itll make it more team base so you play with like minded peope and nt have to put up with the small amount but very annoying kids.

thats true since your gonna forget about it the next day, wait scratch that, you won’t forget it, you’ll just stop careing.

never played halo 2 but I can see how that can work.

but thats the unfortinate thing about the community sometimes theres alot of jerks, but the best thing you can do is not become one of them.

I had a similar thing happen. Some guy kept shooting me because I got into the Mantis before him, I got out to let him have it and he just quit.

Generosity confuses them to the point where they don’t know what to do.

chances our he may have lagged.

still I wanna understand why they EMP it so much. why would they cost the team a chance to fight back just because they want to feel like bada–.

Just submit a player review and move on with your life.

that to is a good idea.

Don’t quit, homie.

Just let those kinds of players have the vehicles, but remember to report them afterwards.

Yeah, its almost as annoying as when teammates just quit out of the game.

This generally happens because either the person in the vehicle has a terrible K/D and will die or get hi-jacked straight away or some kid with a terrible K/D to begin with wants to have ‘fun’ and ruin the game so he can get 1 kill and die in it.

the first couple days online i was so excited and amped up i did that a few times. just anger chucked a grenade, get a little trigger-raged. but i made a point to knock it off real quick as that is a -Yoink- thing to do. my apologies to anyone i did that to.

also have to be careful chucking anger grenades after respawn. that can really ruin someone’s multiplayer experience.

i was in a game of Infinity Slayer (it might have been CTF) on Shatter, and i saw an unoccupied mantis. one of my “teammates” was sitting nearby, and i assumed he was defending the (base/flag?). he wasnt moving to it, so i got in. the moment the mantis stood up my “teammate” blasted me with his plasma pistol. this happened several times for the next 30 seconds. eventually he stopped (out of energy?).

in another game i played, i had a “teammate” who went around deliberately TKing in a ghost for several minutes before being kicked.

my response to situations where someone takes something that im trying to use is sprint away and mow down enemies without them. i managed to get 30+ kills in a BTB game without using vehicles or random ordnance.
