Just watched it again because well I wanted to. Don’t know exactly how much attention this thread will get but hell.
Captian Lasky to me is the new Keyes, and to quote him when the artifact on the Infinity shuts down…
> LT, get us the hell outta here!!
The scene in which shows Majestic and Crimsons Pelicans flooring it to get out of Requiem is just incredible. I agree that the gameplay could be a bit better, but the cutscenes are where it’s really at and it’s what the side series to Halo excells and really succeeds at. I heard in the bulletin that there is no talk about a Season 2 but we haven’t seen the last of Crimson. Hell, I’d give anything to have that song in the credits. It has that feel of saying “Job well done Spartan” and just adds to the badassary.
And might I add, Spartan Ops is the only thing I’ll still defend about Halo 4, cutscenes anyway and the overall story.
Just in case you wanna listen to the credits music.
If they make a season 2, I hope they render move enemy characters, so it’s not Jul 'Mdama and his roudy remnant of Elite Minors with the occasional Promethean Knight. And also all their shield generators are broken. And Majestic squad has damage boost permanently.
The Spartan Ops was IMHO a relatively great game mode but here’s some things I would like to be fixed if they make a Season 2:
-
More locations.
It feels like you always goes back to the same locations but in the game the characters thinks it’s a new location.
-
More objectives.
It feels like you’re only killing Storm Covenants and Prometheans, like add that you are to capture a computer and you have to carry it like the Promethean soul in Grifball (it’s a Promethean skull for sure though) and when you die you drop it.
-
Where did all the allies go?
Is it just me or does except Fireteam Majestic all other allies go MIA or KIA when helping Fireteam Crimson from other locations, like when Fireteam Switchback should destroy the Harvester, they went MIA presumed to be KIA, it’s like:
“Oh damn, we are to help Fireteam Crimson, pack up boys we’re all dead men anyway!”
-
Better spawn points.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been spawn killed by hostiles with power weapons in game, I died 20 times in a row just because I spawned in the middle of a Promethean horde.
Those are the once I can think of for now.
The epilogue (what I can remember of it, at least) has me both intrigued, and yet a little upset over what to expect from the future.
Catherine losing her arm was weird enough, but wanting to exact revenge on the UNSC really raised the bar. I wonder just how that’s going to happen, and what the Chief’s presumed interference may lead to.
Seeing Requiem bite the dust was awe-inspiring, yet kind of sad. When the new trilogy was announced, I was expecting most of it to take place on the planet, exploring it and finding out its relevance and secrets, but to be taken away from it so soon in the main campaign and then be destroyed in Spartan Ops disappointed me a little. On the other hand, considering how complete Halo 4’s overall plot was and with Requiem completely out of the picture, it has me really anticipating what Halo 5 will have in store for us!
Spartan Ops Seasons 1 epilogue is really awesome because there is many irreversible and radical moments that you really did not expected. And it was made cool as hell (or hot).
There is some things that need repair but without that Halo 4 and Spartan Ops are awesome.
I love Spartan Ops, but in Season 2 if there is one, the should add some new weapons and vehicles, and they should add more enemy units, maybe have a mission where a spartan group found a small group of jackal pirates or brutes mucking about in human space. If they play their cards right they could actually design a season or two that leads up to Halo 5. And they could end the last Halo 4 Spartan Ops season with the spartans running into the main characters and/or enemy of Halo 5’s campaign and/or spartan Ops campaign.
It’s so sad they confirmed there’ll be no season 2 (at least not in Halo 4).Hopefully it returns with Halo 5, though.
Spartan Ops was, In my Opinion, a fantastic feature from Halo 4.
All I can say is that it should defiantly return for Halo 5 along side fire fight.

April Fool’s day is gone.

No they said it at PAX east, no current confirmation for Spops 2. So we’re all crossing our fingers.
> It’s so sad they confirmed there’ll be no season 2 (at least not in Halo 4).Hopefully it returns with Halo 5, though.
That’s stupid, I kind of feel like they’re rolling out the DLC too quick, and Spartan Ops was too short. The game isn’t even a year old, all of the DLC maps but one pack has been released, Spartan Ops season 1 is over, and the community has started to divide and leave.
Yes but they hadn’t confirmed anything. There can Spops Season 2 for Halo 4. Or am I wrong :D?
I’d probably enjoy the Epilogue more had the author of Spartan Ops not used Halsey to make a point about ambiguity regarding who she wanted revenge against.

They did not confirm that there will be no season 2. They basically confirmed a ‘no comment/never say never’ kind of response.
