It probably is a placeholder though. If not, then 343 is flat out lazy.
The shotgun popped up in the recent Halo 4 based RvB PSAs. But yeah, that shotgun… And the assault rifle (looks like and updated H3 AR)… And kind of, I think, the sniper (only really caught a small glimpse of it from the RvB vid)… Looks like they haven’t changed them much from previous games. Meanwhile, the battle rifle gets a complete overhaul into something clunky and mechanical. The original design of the BR looked much more elegant, but now I’m starting to wander.

Well if the BR was in Reach… It’d probably have a placeholder too but at around 7 months-ish from release, it’s a pretty safe bet most of the weapon visuals are placeholders.

I agree. But I don’t really care much for the design. It is after all, just a shotgun. Hopefully we get some gameplay soon though.
Well quite honestly I’m glad it’s the same. The ONE thing 343 hasn’t changed for the sake of change.

i don’t think its a place holder (could be wrong) …but i actually do like the look of the ‘reach’ shotgun, so if there using the same model im fine with that, the new br looks amazing and the updated dmr is also looking very nice

Even if it’s a placeholder, I’m guessing the final Shotgun will look very similar anyway. Hopefuly they’ll update it as much as they did the DMR.
