That is,That is all? This is serious

To my understanding, they’re going to add more into the campaign within the next 10 years.

From 343i it was said that the Forge mode would arrive with the second season. The first season in principle have recently said that it would last 6 months. I think I would start to worry a little.

Confirmed by the 343i itself, Halo Infinite is not a game as such, it is a service platform that will last 10 years.

Effectively

So was Destiny apparently, didn’t stop them launching Destiny 2

Bungie’s original goal was to keep Destiny indefinitely, but it was Activision that forced them to release Destiny 2. Currently with Bungie being independent there are no plans for Destiny 3.

I definitely expect more maps and modes come December 8th, and I’m fine waiting that long for them.

However XP gains or per match XP have to be looked at soon. I know that I’ll keep playing just because I love Halo but I know a bunch of people that won’t stick around because the BP levels up at a glacial pace.

Infact Destiny 1 & 2 essentially both live on in Destiny 2 now they’ve been adding old content back in etc.

That said, I’m glad they made Destiny 2 because game devs thinking they’re going to start a new game or franchise and get it right first time without significant changes or iterations almost never works out. Even if you don’t release a sequel there will be several patches, a 2.0 version, probably a 3.0 and onwards.

What perplexes me is that Infinite should be not a new game, but a sequel to the last 5+, and yet seems to be missing a tonne of core features at launch from what made those games great. And that’s aside from the progression & other issues currently being spammed in this forum.

Completely agree, the game is good but the progression system is terrible.
And DLC is far too expensive, I kinda agree with the price for the non-premium battle pass but everything else is prohibitively expensive

but above all

343I CHANGE THE PROGRESSION XP SYSTEM!

In a way, I have serious doubts about what approach they are going to have with the campaign. I would like you to show a roadmap for the next few months.

I don’t recall reading that this was all we were getting, I may have to go read this blog post again because I’ve been hearing from all sides that they only gave us a portion of what is going to be available at launch. For instance, there is no Zombies mode yet we have seen an image of a Spartan IV with a different Sword not readily available to us in the game. Meaning that is likely a model of Sword exclusive to a game mode.

343 has been pretty hush hush up until the recent months about everything, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were keeping other things silent to take us by surprise again. But I still don’t recall reading that this was all we were getting, no one else seems to have that impression. So I may need to flag down this blog post and give it another read.

Blockquote Let’s collect: The progression system just doesn’t work, it’s too slow, doesn’t really reward good play, and encourages a severe toxic attitude. I know you have to work on the prizes, but it is not rewarding to spend 3 hours playing and not having reached level 5 of the battle pass. It is not a fair system.

If you haven’t already heard, the team is actively looking at this. We are listening to feedback across the board right now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Bungie doesn’t need a Destiny 3 when they can just wipe everything from the game each time they release a new expansion. Completely eliminates any of the issues adding new content creates so they don’t have to do their job and properly balance -Yoink!-. They effectively release a new game every time they wipe content people paid real money for.

I feel much calmer knowing that you really read us in this forum and are participating in it.

Since apparently we aren’t allowed to post links to their own articles on their own forums go to the “WELCOME TO THE HALO INFINITE MP BETA” article, third sentence of the second paragraph.

People keep comparing the map count between this game vs. 3 and Reach in a vacuum, but those games launched with Forge and a whole massive slew of other modes to mess around with. The community could make their own fun in the downtime between official content drops.

Here, we’re 100% dependent upon 343 for all content until Forge drops in 6 months, and I’m already sick of playing Strongholds on Recharge for the billionth time.

I didn’t mention in Vacuum. From a MAP stand point, what I said is true. I also mentioned some negativity regarding the lack of content like Halo 5, as well as agreeing with OP, inferring that I agree with all of their complaints. I also agree that Forge is a HUGE gaping hole in the current game, and the player population will feel it, however, I imagine that once the entire game drops on DEC 8, the files will be there like they were in MCC and people will get their hands on Halo Infinite Forge ( Unless its like a Dev Tool and installs separately which I highly doubt ). I also DESPISE the lack of gamemodes right now, personally miss Assault very much at the moment, as well as infection, 24 player infection on BTB maps is going to be amazing. Hopefully we aren’t waiting much longer than the 8th of December for that to be resolved, as I don’t see them having not developed the game modes.

Interesting, perhaps they’ll add more as the seasons progress then, because it never seemed apparent that this was all we had to go on for now.

Sadly Forge isn’t going to release on December 8th. Apparently we won’t see Forge until at least Season 2.

I know that lol, I was discussing gamemodes at that point. I’m hopeful we aren’t waiting for game modes for that long. And Forge sounds like its coming season 3, as Season 2 is when they intend to release CO-OP. Their plans sounded as such. Launch DEC 8 and Start Season 1. Seasons last 3 months, and 3 months after launch they intend to add CO-OP, and 6 Months after launch they intend to add Forge. In a perfect world, they will work very hard to meet both of those deadlines early, but i doubt it. Forge is most likely going to be insane and from what I have seen, it truly is, but I cannot discuss that here. I would dare say that 343i is going to be pressured into releasing Maps either early or frequently after launch to stop the game from becoming boring.

Exactly, while the map count is the lowest of any halo game to date the biggest problem is the severe lack of gametypes and even more so the lack of any ability for players to make their own. beyond minor tweaks to certain parameters. We don’t have ANY of the “party” gametypes every other game has had at least 1 of at launch. As a btb player i have played stockpile on fragmentation over half the matches i’ve played so far and it is killing any desire i have to play at all.

4 gametypes for arena and 4 gametypes for btb with 2 of those being shared between both for a total of 6 gametypes at launch, it is beyond disgusting and anyone defending this severe lack of variety with absolutely no concrete timeline of WHEN we will get even a fraction of the modes we have played in every halo game to date is even worse.

The only staple gametypes we have are slayer and ctf, the rest like grifball, heavies, assault, infection, fiesta and countless others are completely missing.

I think that here we are already entering a different debate that does not take place here.

I hope the Forge mode is as great as promised to be worth the wait.

I add that the absolute lack of information about the content and the PVE modes is extremely worrying, we do not know anything about a possible Firefight mode, or a Warzone Firefight, or any other PVE mode.
