That Forge Lighting. We're saved!

Thanks for the Twitter info. Yes, frustrating, but not surprising. When they said they wanted to correct the glowing Spartans that H5 had I thought “How much more glow can you get than bright neon outlines?” Not to mention all the bright and flashy armor attachments and effects. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Funny thing, the armor effects came out clear as day in the video. But I’m sure there will be scriptable toggles over time.

I do wonder what they’re gonna’ do about outlines…

Yeah, that breathing one was actually pretty cool. Subtle and added to the vibe. Just about all the other ones though… Little bunny fufu is going to be spotted from a mile away and get one tapped while hopping though the forest.

I can’t seem to get the lighting probes to show up when I enable the setting in the map options in forge mode. I also can’t seem to find the reflection volume object in the browser referenced in Forge Fundamentals – Lighting & Audio at 16:08. I can’t seem to find the “light probe marker” referenced in the level bound probes section of the Map options either.
Then when trying to build any aspect of the lighting I’ve let it run for 2 hours and nothing happened. At least a log or some sort of progress checks would be a stellar quality of life there. But if users have to wait over 2 hours for 30 probes in a small area and no reflection volumes, something isn’t right.
