Saber Interactive made the Campaigns of Halo CE Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary. They were also the ones behind the development of the cancelled Halo Online.
Certain Affinity is a development studio that makes mostly multiplayer DLCs and occassional fully multiplayers. CA was founded by ex-Bungie developers and have worked on things from Halo 2’s Blastacular Map Pack to Halo Infinite.
CA was behind many of the maps, DLC or otherwise, in Halo Reach, Halo 4, and was behind the multiplayer experiences of CoD World at War, Doom 2016, and Halo 2 Anniversary.
Skybox Labs was a development studio that 343 commissioned to work with them on Halo 5 Guardians’ Forge Mode.
Liquid Development is a studio that they had assist with making 3D models for the Spartans in Halo 4.
There are quite a slew of companies that have helped 343 along the way here and there.
But Certain Affinity is the one that has had the most influence.
Halo Online was just Halo 3 on PC, but with weapons you could rent and with some new maps and armors. Most of the new weapons were just alt-variants of the main guns that changed ratios such as Accuracy, Range, Magazine Size, Damage, Rate-Of-Fire, Overheat Speed, etc.

You know those new maps and armors that MCC received for Halo 3? That is just 1/5 the content that Halo Online was going to have… and if only MCC continued with the seasons to add the rest of the maps and armors.
My bad for some reason i thought you were talking about the new movies last jedi was one of the older ones kinda just flew over my head there long day honestly very tired rn i shouldnt be reading i should be naping
I-I was. The Last Jedi was Episode VIII. You know, the one everyone hated? The one that manbabies would not stop complaining about for like four whole years??
I consider it the second best of the entire series, but fanboys who hate new or bolder things that aren’t what they expect cry and whine and now all we get is just, absolute fanservicey Dreck.
Id agree people can be stuck in their ways im always open to new stuff for halo its one of my top 3 favorite games along with elder scrolls and pokemon its just how things need to be delivered to the fanbase i think honestly only problems have had with halo is customization based really and im bored of these maps 343 definitely did good with halo infinites great step in the right direction i just think they werent really ready for live service but im hopeing season 2 will be good
And now ima binge star wars because seems like iv forgotten alot
tbh? Latency/Delay, map variety, some fine tuning to weapon sandbox, cross core and more free color choice for our spartans and emblems and… Honestly not a whole lot else. Mechanically, Infinite is beautiful and feels great to play. But a lack of forge, custom games that work, a file share to facilitate those things, and customization that’s lackluster (Though, only really in the color department) makes for a fairly shallow experience if you don’t care for the 4v4 arena experience and ranked.
That and the fact that random weapon spawns are universally HORRIBLE and should not EVER be a thing, and BTB 2.0 is frankly this game’s WORST mode by FAR.
Agree 100% with everything youv said really really just want to pick white primary and pink secondary for my spartan sooo bad im so tired of seeing the same colors everywhere like that alone would have me playing more love making my spartan.
What you said basically is the best start I think they can do hopefully season 2 we can see these type of improvements or a least a roadmap for implementation.
BTB used to be my favorite game mode to i really hope they fix it with set spawns and more vehicles at base
From watching Boba Fett, it seems that Lucasfilms and Disney are leaning in that direction.
Plus, didn’t Kathleen Kennedy resign and cite reasons that were utterly false as to the reasons why she resigned?
“Kathleen Kennedy announces STAR WARS has over 25,000 years of history. Last year she claimed there is no source material, no comics, and no novels to reference to make STAR WARS movies .”
COMICAL
There are DOZENS of books, comics, and video games.
But most of them were retconned and turned into “Legends” and even though they kept on making new books, comics, and games; she acts like there is NO SOURCE MATERIAL which resulted in the sequel trilogy being so disliked???
KATHLEEN KENNEDY DIDN’T RESIGN, HAHA. WHAT? Where are you GETTING this!?
No she’s literally still in charge! What youtube channels are you WATCHING? How in the world do Boba Fett and Mandalorian even BEGIN to lead into “The ST isn’t canon”??? I’m a lifelonger so like, what? haha.
And okay, so the Legends thing? Given the levels of canon, none of it was ever true and over-writable at ALL times. Do you have ANY clue how many times George Lucas trampled (rightfully) EU lore during The Clone Wars? Any clue at all? During The Prequels? Any clue at all? It was a LOT. Remember that time Karen Traviss RESIGNED from writing Star Wars ever again over George Lucas’ portrayal of The Mandalorians?
You gotta’ be kidding me…!
No the sequel trilogy was disliked because it was new, just like the prequels were in the 2000s. Did you now The Empire Strikes Back, widely regarded as the BEST movie in the series, was basically seen as worse than The Last Jedi, when it came out?
I was going to post a link… but when I look up if she has resigned I find that the exact opposite of what should’ve happened has occurred. My last info is outdated I guess because THIS is what has happened instead of what any reasonable executive would do.
" Kathleen Kennedy has reportedly been granted a three-year contract extension at Lucasfilm , leaving her in control of Star Wars and Indiana Jones."
It honestly goes to show that failure is tolerated too easily these days.
Wasn’t it disliked for having a Mary Sue protagonist, the first movie just being a remix of Episode IV, the strange romance between Rey and the murderous immature Kylo Ren, and the fact that the writers kept swapping out between movies and refusing to follow up on what was set up for the next movie?
All I am saying is that the trend of the 2010s was that new people were appointed to look after multi-million dollar franchises and instead of putting someone who was at least somewhat of a fan who respected the franchise; people who had no respect for the intellectual properties took over and now look at them.
Halo fanbase is mad
Star Wars fanbase is mad
Dead Space fanbase is mad
Mass Effect fanbase is mad
Ghostbusters fanbase is mad
And that is to just name a few.
I have a respect for you @KCD0DGER
I have very little respect for those who take well established franchises and then grind them into dust for their own amusement.
You obviously are expected to be a fan of what you work on.
But even J. J. Abrams admits that things should’ve gone differently.
Copy-pasted from “J.J. Abrams Says ‘Having a Plan Is Most Critical’ When Asked About ‘Star Wars’ Storytelling Fumbles”
“There’s nothing more important than knowing where you’re going,” Abrams says about storytelling.
J.J. Abrams successfully launched the most recent Star Wars trilogy with “The Force Awakens,” but what followed in the subsequent two sequels proved far more divisive for fans. Creative handoffs took place between Abrams and “The Last Jedi” filmmaker Rian Johnson, and then between Johnson and Abrams for “The Rise of Skywalker,” resulting in chapters that from a narrative perspective felt more like constant course-correcting than natural continuity. There was never a finite narrative plan set in stone, as evidenced by Daisy Ridley confirming it was never in the cards for her character Rey to be Emperor Palpatine’s granddaughter until the production of “Rise of Skywalker.”
In a recent interview with Collider, Abrams was asked to weigh in on the “creative handoffs” that came to define the narrative storytelling of the recent “Star Wars” trilogy. Would the three movies have benefited from a concrete narrative plan set from the beginning? This is the question Collider asked the director, to which Abrams admitted that “there’s nothing more important than knowing where you’re going.”
J. J. Abrams is able to admit when there are mistakes and voices a desire to have done things differently.
He has my respect.
