You are playing by yourself and are in the pregame lobby with 3 other random people, and you get paired against 4 trash talking uber elite professional MLGers, who try to run you down by calling you and your team bad before the game - but you end up single handedly putting them all in their place. (Which is usually followed by either complete silence or animosity about you being host, a tryhard, or some other excuse)
Anyone else know this feel?
No, because there is no voice chat between teams in the pregame lobby.

This.
If you ever hear anyone speaking or see the voice/private symbol above them then you will be paired with them.
And you were playing which Halo game exactly?
Something similar happened the other day when I went into MM solo. Got JIP’ed into a CTF game and a couple seconds later two guys from the UK got JIP’ed too. Although we played well, the other team had too much momentum (score + map control + power weapons) for us to complete the comeback but we almost got there.
So as the score was tallying up, the winners started smack talking like crazy, and we were like “We just JIP’ed! We’re not the ones you beat!”
Skunked them the next game. Glorious.

Reach
I forgot it doesn’t happen in 4, lol
Delicious and oh so satisfying.
HAHA! that’s funny. If I even get put in a match with someone who has a mic it is usually no more than 1 other person. Nobody seems to use mics in Halo anymore.
Yup, still happens frequently but not so much in teams. I hear more individuals talking trash and excessive tea bagging. I got murdered in one game on Monday, very next game same team but complete opposite results. The trash talking effectively stopped after that.
What happens most are the quitters especially after they trash talk. I bet one guy $10.00 he would quit out, he did 30 seconds later. I WANT MY $10.00.
Usually with this situation it isn’t “MLG” nerds, it’s with armor ability noobs.
It’s great to pummel an armor locker when you go up to him and he goes “oh, i’ll be a noob and use the emp because I can’t shoot for crap!” then he comes out of it but too late, his shields are down and you beat him down.
It’s the only time I -Yoink!-. Same with a jetpack noob on Uncaged or some map which encourages jet packs.
Armor abilities are seriously the only thing wrong with Reach.
Na, I usually just get abusive private messages.

heheh I usually only get paired against teams on SWAT. I’ve never played a game of Halo with more than 1 friend in my party and I don’t think I ever will. I don’t see the competition of beating up a bunch of randoms and occasionally going against another ‘uber’ team.
It’s just funny when a team is only so good as their armor abilities and then call it “skill.”
I leave my mic muted because I don’t want to hear a little kid yelling or some guy cursing up the lobby. Or hearing obnoxious noobs brag about how “good they are,” when they have armor lock and are camping the lift room in sword base (for starters).
I love running into trash talkers. I will not talk trash or mess with anyone unless they trash talking me or saying racist things to others in the game. I always win the war with these types. =D

Which game are you talking about?
I can hear people on the opposite team in both Reach and 4? What game are you playing?
