Thankyou 343 you've satisfied this old halo fanboy

I’ve been around halo since the beginning, since before every one on xbox decided to get on Halo 2 and enjoy that free month of live or two (if you got lucky), before every one decided to go along with halo 3 simply because Halo didn’t have that much competition against it as a shooter at the time. All i’ve honestly heard from so called halo fans are complaints about 343 and what they did with the mcc only to bash 343 unknowingly it was not just 343 who made the master chief collection, but took on the brunt of the idiotic fanboyisim and then to go on and explain how great destiny is. 343 overseeing this project had took on a new direction to launch halo into the future rather than purely cater to a crowd who are stuck in the past when they used to be good at halo, and can’t see how their elitist views could potentially destroy the game franchise they all say they love.

When bungie left i too thought to myself who could actually pick up halo to finish the job, and 343 took it head on shedding new light in campaign for 4 and actually fleshing out the chief, although their multiplayer could have used some work at the time for 4; And it seems to me as if they’ve realized their fumble and worked with the pros to actually bring back the competitive feel of 2 and 3. I’ve bought 1-4 (including reach) as well as halos dvd’s and books, But recently i’ve took the time out of my day thirty minutes to an hour to watch the sprint episodes as well as the road to E3. Disappointment Doesn’t even fit next to halo 5 in my opinion and should be labeled no where near what they’re doing to the game right now. Don’t get me wrong im not talking for any so called community i’m talking for myself i am not disappointed at all in halo 5 and i am purchasing halo 5 gladly.

They’ve brought back the competitive feel in halo 5 along with 2 new modes to boot. They’ve brought back the social and ranked playlist. They’ve nerfed sprint to the point where you shouldn’t even consider running away when your shield is down. They’ve brought back the classic mid ship map re-imagined and remixed. They may have Decided to give us all maps for free so we no longer have a divided community where we are split from each other. Long story short to thank 343 for what they’re doing to halo 5 I am buying halo 5 limited edition to show them my support for bringing back the halo i personally knew and loved as a kid. Thank you 343.

Hell yes. That’s exactly how I feel. I’m really excited for Halo 5.

Same here.

spoken like a true fan

May I ask that you use some paragraphs please.

Well said, good sir.

Friendly suggestion: some capitalization and use of paragraphs would make your post a little easier to read, and I bet more people would read it as well. No one likes a wall of text!

Excellent, positive post. I, too, am very excited to play Halo 5, and have also been involved with the franchise from the beginning.

This, but a good read. This is how it truly should be. I been playing halo sense the Old xbox days and lan parties. I always looked forward to the next improvement that the developers brought to the series.

I won’t lie. I like Halo: Reach for it was trying something different and Halo 4 improved on it. And with Halo 4 on MCC, it proved that 343 was on the right track. Just that the ordnance drops were a little to much. But with them gone. Halo 4 is turning out to be the only game that truly captures my attention on MCC and I defend 4 to the death now.

Halo 5 Beta though was the most fun I had with halo sense the 1st time I played Halo 2 on Xbox Live. My knuckles turned white and my palms sweaty. There was nothing I didn’t enjoy. I also thought that the voice chatter was a great addition. It brought a bit of tactical life to the matches and because for some reason people still use headsets anymore. I needed the voices to give me useful information.

All in all. I’m pumped for Halo 5. More then any game before

I’m with you. Very excited about Halo 5. Glad to see some positive vibes.

I share the same feeling!

Yesss! This might be one of the best halo multiplayers ever created, if not the best. However, the more I hear about the campaign, the less I think I’m going to like it. Hopefully 343 will prove me wrong in October!

Yay, some positivity about Halo 5. I also can’t wait for Halo 5. The fact that they have finally added Blue Team into the game makes me so happy:)

Ill only buy this game if they have playable Didacts otherwise Halo is dead…

All jokes aside, this is one of the best posts I have seen. In a very long time. We need more of you in the community

I couldn’t have said it better my myself!

Hail Murkenstein, the fan who saved the forums. And I agree.

Thread starting with I’ve been around halo since the beginning, + Positive: No one bats an eye.
Thread starting with I’ve been around halo since the beginning, + Negative: Everyone loses their minds.

Just wanted to point that out lol. Nice to see that you like Halo 5, but I disagree with a lot of things you said at the beginning and about MCC.

Halo 5 looks better than any other game  I’ve been around since halo 3 and when I saw 3s graphics I thought it was a beautiful game and although I didn’t know what halo was about basically I started to learn a bit before reach and after reach and now from CEA and on I’ve gotten to know halo a lot more and I’m a big fan of Halo  and wow I didn’t even hear of Xbox live until sometime around reach when my friend told me about it and played some of it at his house then sometime after reach I got live and my 1st playlist that I played was the legendary invasion mode

There are more people excited for Halo 5 than there are people on the hate train. That’s just how this internet works.
But I’m with you, OP. It’s a good time to be a Halo fan!

Don’t care. It was their project, they oversaw it, they released it broken, and they made over a hundred million dollars on it. They deserve to be bashed. For years to come. You’re the one seeming like an idiotic fanboy at this point.

343I is destroying the Halo I love. And “used to be good”? Are you kidding? On the MCC, my k/d is meh and my win/loss is crap. On Halo 4… Well, you can go see for yourself. The game is undoubtedly less challenging, and–in my opinion–less fun. Do you know anyone who is good in the games of the original trilogy, but did horrible in the Halo 5 beta?

Best Halo to play to get ready for H5G

“Halo 4 was crap, Halo 5 is waaaay better because they worked with pros to make it more competitive! They’re going back to Halo’s roots, bro!”
“Okay, so what Halo should I play to get ready for Halo 5?”
“Oh, Halo 4,” according to 50% of the people who voted in that poll. Nobody voted Halo 2.

Haha, yeah, they’ve done their absolute best to nerf sprint to the point where it might as well not be in the game…while still keeping it in the game, and keeping maps enormous, and therefore increasing the average distance between opponents during engagements (making the game easier, since it’s a lot less challenging to keep your crosshairs on a target that’s far away as opposed to jumping around right in front of you).

That, I have to admit, was a very cool move on their part.
