You are the target demographic. Because players keep buying req packs, 343 is pushing req into every update. To be honest, I’m responsible, too. I bought the premium pass thing when the game first came out. Honestly though, i thought it was some type of dlc. Not just enhanced gold packs. It’s money, guys. That’s what it boils down to. We’re customers, not a community. The game’s ability to leave a mark as one of the greatest halo’s of all time is not the main priority for 343. It’s to see how much cash can be rolled in from it. Look at gta v. the single player was completely abandoned because everyone keeps buying shark cards for online. I’m not blaming anyone for how these updates are prioritized, but it’s the truth. The req packs brought in a TON of money. Enough money to keep professional gamers with 2 million in there pocket while MS still has plenty left over for profit. We did this to ourselves. Lesson learned the hard way.

I’ve bought a few packs and bundles, but I am starting to tire to see them adding ‘numbers’ and crap into updated, just wastes the space of a better unlock.
Spose it prolongs and inflates game play time though, same thing bungie did to destiny (light level rng) so you keep playing over and over to hopefully get what you want.

I agree, the REQ system is greatly affecting this games updates. I can GUARANTEE that 343 would not be making so many skins and amour, if there was no REQ system where you would pay for them. Never before has this trash been seen in a AAA title. Never before have I seen a system out progression ENTIRELY on RNG. ITs ok if items are there from REQs, but not when EVERYTHING is. You can’t earn anything through commendations, campaign, ranking up (except for the new Achilles set, which is a step in the right direction).

Too little too late. The game came out like 2 years ago. The focus was put into online. And the same thing is happening to halo 5. no splitscreen and emphasis on req. You guys believe that they just COULDN’T make splitscreen happen? You guys honestly believe that? They did it in an attempt to sell more games and consoles.
SnipeDown has spent 4-5k on req packs. He’s 4% responsible by himself.

Seeing how the needed to lower the fps on characters and players a few feet from you i do believe splitscreen was pretty much impossible.
