If you don’t know already, there was an unexpected TU today that made the white death X red! Oh, and it stays where the person died instead of with the body. It also stays on screen for much longer.
Thanks!
Yep, noticed this too; honestly it feels kind of weird to me right now since I haven’t seen it in so long
Yes. Thanks, although i wished 343 couldve released it sooner.
> Yes. Thanks, although i wished 343 couldve released it sooner.
Wished we could have, as well. Even small updates are lengthy, due to development, test, certification and a bunch of other extremely boring but necessary things.
For those of you wondering, here is how the "X"s are different.
- ”X”s are a deep shade of red (instead of white)
- ”X”s are 1.5 times as big
- ”X”s are displayed for approximately 4 seconds at death location (instead of being tied to the Spartan’s body), even if the player respawns prior to 4 seconds (instead of disappearing instantly or within 2 seconds)
Haha I LOVE this! Those that scream 343i isn’t listening and they killed Halo and have their own agenda are getting SHUT DOWN.
Updates like these, even if they are small, are SO significant and refreshing because it’s EXACTLY what we want and what the game NEEDS to be better and more like the HALO we know and love.
If you still don’t think things are getting better or Halo 4 is a failure you are now absolutely, positively ignorant.
THANKS 343i!!!

And for this thank the team for me (also keep a seat warm I want to work on story at 343 some day)
I’m really happy to see 343 is trying, it really proves you do listen, how about more Halo 2/3-esque gameplay in Halo 5 though

I noticed that, it was pretty awesome seeing it in game though, it was the one thing that made those laggy and horrible JIP games i played today bearable.
Thank you though.
Thanks 343!
Thanks 343!
RED X…YES

This!! Thanks 343!! It’s finally nice to have the hateful forum posters just a little bit more quiet tonight.
Thanks 343i you’re all awesome!!!
It’s sad that we’re thanking them for putting something in the game this far after the game’s been out when it should’ve been in the game from the start.

Hello, I’ve been expecting you.

Correction: WE’VE been expecting you.
Cheers 343i for listening to the criticisms rather than the people who consistently say “stop complaining”.

I don’t blame them for not listening to incessant raging and hatred so prevalent in the past. I would agree with complaining, but SO many overreact and call the game trash.
I say complain all you want, as issues need to be addressed, but stop whining and hating.
Way cool, great update.
I like how this company is taking steps in the right direction, even it if it took them a while to do it. I’m starting to have some good hopes for H5.

Agreed, better late than never I suppose.
This is a nice change to have, but not game changing. I’m going to save my crits till after balancing though.
Still, a step in the right direction, but perhaps it’s getting to late.
A step in the right direction. Nice job guys. (I mean it!)
