Really appreciated to Halo 3 10yr anniversary stream the other nite 
This is from a long time Halo fan who has more recently fell away, in terms of community interaction and love for more recent games.
Other than Halo 1 epic grandure, ive never been such a fanboy that Ive thought Halo2 or 3 were the best things in gaming.
I liked them, supported them, bought multiple copies of LE/CE’s and even ran my own website following the games,
but always felt they could have been alot better.
I maybe in the minority but i thought ODST was biggest step in right direction, in terms of trying something different.
Im not really talking about Modes, as i believe that is one thing Halo franchise has evolved.
Firefight,Theatre, Forge, custom game types. Incredible.
But Halo 5 has been only one to really change the movement permanently without having equipable mods (Halo3/Reach) which while is brave,
I was kind of expecting a slide/dash ability/button back in Halo2 or atleast 3!
Another surprise has been that taken this long to get something like Warzone.
When Bungie were taking about massive multiplayer changes in Halo2, me and friends were expecting something Battlefield style.
I used to imagine it a bit like Battlefield meets Beast mode in Gears2/3, where could have massive battles (maybe 8v8,12v12) but the other team would be the covernant.
Balancing would work with Grunts spawning instantly, Elites same timing as Spartans, Hunters max of 2 on battlefield etc
Human side would have combination of Marines, ODST, Spartans etc
Although nothing like above ever came around, always kept with the story and have read the books upto the one about Johnson.
Maybe im missing something not continuing with the new books but… I echo what many have said… meh
Something is just not clicking anymore. Level design / Style / Story = Overall feel = meh
Ive gone through Halo5 multiple times now, i appreciate it more, but so many of the ones i know who were 14-16yrs old when Original Xbox came out,
have grown up with the franchise, all feeling the same. I dont believe its just a “age” thing.
Prehaps its just we expect more by Halo “5” that be some kind of escalation of story/levels/features, not just… ‘heres your 9 levels, see u in a couple of years…’
because thats how it now feels to many.
I think thats why i asked in the stream “Frank used to mention a Halo Bible. is that still a thing? Is it still being referanced?”
I couldnt believe I got a response!!
But I think my real question was “Was Halo 5 in keeping of the Halo Bible? Was that how it was already outlined in the bible? Did it turn out how u expected?”
Anyway sure this is sounding like a negative post.
Reason for it was supposed to show gratefullness of the Steam/halo3 playlist and the nature of the positive comments in Mixer chat.
Im back in a big way enjoying playing competitive!
Fingers crossed for big change is Halo 6s Story. Know there’s more than just hope and making it up on the spot there.
