Thanks for Ruining Breakout

Breakout was my favorite GameCube when my friends and I first got the game. We rolled four deep and played it for hours. It was tense and competitive and loads of fun!

Then an we all took a break from the game or played Warzone for a while. When we came back, Breakout had its ranked status taken away. It was a body blow to our fire team. We had been climbing the ranks: we were all on the brink of either platinum or diamond (myself) ranking!

Now you’ve “evolved” it and completely ruined it. Full shields? Starting with a shotgun??? You can score in either base? Now every game is just a bum rush shotgun fest in mid. No more long range tactical gun play. No more map control. No more tense, make a quick decision or die gameplay.

At least you brought back rankings. You got one single thing right. Unfortunately I no longer desire to play this once great game mode brought low. So thanks. Thanks for nothing.

I’m sorry that your favorite console was the GameCube. That’s like saying that your favorite kind of pizza is pineapple BBQ with light meat and light cheese.

I had a friend that had a gamecube. I borrowed it for the length of time it took me to play through the Metroid prime.

I also remember playing breakout on my sister’s Atari after I moved into the grandmother’s house in the late 90’s.

If you mean breakout in Halo 5, there is a thread for that
