Thanks for not botching the ending. Spoilers

Yes there is spoilers just giving a warning…

The villain felt like the harbinger of my destruction and his ship flew like a reaper. But hey, what can I say I don’t expect my villains to sound like Mike Tyson. They didn’t botch the ending like they did in ME3 but then again this wasn’t decision based.

This ending isn’t a happy one, but we get to see what is going on, and insight into what is to come. Now hopefully we can see Cortana return, as you could see her sacrifice for the chief and her through out the game trying to break it to the chief that he could lose her and that in a way needed to be prepared. In the end he wasn’t The future Spartans which surprisingly were trained in 4 years time since the war if I followed time correctly.

Missed opportunities? These are not complaints but just my little wish list!

A couple more levels wouldn’t have hurt, the game was short, but the visuals were breathtaking as gamers visuals aren’t enough as substance I like story and levels did become a grind at times while also doing the press this button and see an action seems to be a go to now.

The infinity and its construction and pre story would have been good. The alliance with the Covenant as I felt the ones we face were not really explained. They seemed almost cut off from the main group and Master Chief stated they were more fanatical then the ones they faced before. No Brutes was also curious and their voices were different.

The Captain was a -Yoink-.I did not like the way he treated Master Chief as even if he felt he was out dated he saved their buts 3 times over and was willing to do it again.

Adding to the lore and story of the forerunner and the past. So little was shown on the battle with the humans and them running from the flood. To elaborate on that would have been exciting.

It is hard to believe. Now if you read the books there were a lot of good references. Halsey being found on Reach, Wish they showed Squad mates like Kelly from the books. Duplications of Cortana where Master Chief literally has to select a copy of Cortana at random because so many copies of herself are made. It is referenced in the game, but not duplicated entirely.

As for Cortana. I fell in love with this AI and to see her save chief in a last throw of what she had left. Seeing them grab the chief from space and taking off the suit of Armor answered and left so many questions.

Updated Armor
His Evolution and how it works
New AI possibilities of a saved Cortana gift of Halsey
Halsey and him talking her apologizing but not having any regrets.
References to Reach. OMG the things I would love to see

What about you Guys?

> The Captain was a -Yoink!-.I did not like the way he treated Master Chief as even if he felt he was out dated he saved their buts 3 times over and was willing to do it again.

Same here. Wanted to slap and -Yoink!- the captain after that cutscene.

The ending, and the entire last mission, were utterly stupid, and while this isn’t as big of a failure as ME3 (6 hour campaign versus 100s of hours), it was just a disgrace.

when i saw the detonate nuke option right beside it in the last mission i thought here we go again its ME3 all over again, better wait for a patched ending like ME3 but then somehow cortana saved him by pulling him away from the blast at the very millisecond he triggered it, and somehow she herself did not get blown up with it when she was stuck in the mainframe while the place got nuked.

which IMO is just as bad as the ME3 ending.

Well the way I see it, those disappointed with Halo 4’s ending. Simply didn’t understand it. You can debate all you want, there’s no ME3 jumping the shark in Halo 4.

Id give it an 8/10. It was good, but I was wishing for a bit more.

I’d give it around an 8.5/10 to a 9/10. It wasn’t exactly what I’d expected, but it’s pretty damn amazing.

OP is right on the money.

I was quite disappointed with the campaign. Way to short, and not nearly enough background information. Having not read the books, I knew nothing about the Forerunners and how the Covenant was involved with them. I feel like we were just thrown into the middle of the game without any explanation on how we got there. The ending didn’t feel right either, it felt forced.

does something about a great journey, and them being the gods of the Covenant ring a bell?

I think we all did

tell us how he somehow survived a point blank nuke detonation and somehow ended up in cyberspace?

There’s already a few theories on how he survived, most likely she teleported him right before the nuke went off.
