Thanks for Halo 4, 343! It's great!

Don’t let the obnoxious jerks in these forums get you down.

I’ll give you that it’s good.

It could be great, it certainly does have the potential, but it isn’t there yet.

These ‘obnoxious jerks’ are the same as you, only with different opinions about Halo 4.

They are complaining/criticizing so 343 can make this game better, so everyone can enjoy it.

Save your breathe, just another fanboy in denial.

Halo 4 is a Diamond covered in Feces.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I believe “obnoxious jerks” in this context are the people who feel it is necessary to troll threads containing positive comments about the game and insult or demean those who have positive feedback on the game.

I agree with you OP. Halo 4 is good. I’ve enjoyed it more than any FPS out there in a long time - even Reach. When you’re trying to kill time by playing COD as a Halo fan, it’s not the same.

Let’s not go there though.

I think some things need to be addressed for sure. And everyone’s got their opinion on that. But is any game ever perfect? (please, no flaming on the semantics of this statement.)

But thanks for posting…you’ve more guts than I. I didn’t have the heart to post a thread admitting I enjoy the game given some of the comments 'round here.

I have to stop reading this stuff. You guys bring me down.

{gently reaches out, pats on back]

Shh…It’ll be okay.

And there’s a difference between constructive criticism, which I’m all for, and writing in all caps that HALO 4 IS F*%ing SHT!!! It’s probably just trolls, but I’m afraid some people think that’s actually how you get what you want. If you’re not happy with something I’ve found it usually works better to be polite. But, why am I bothering? I’m talking to the internet here.

Halo is great fun, but not for me at the moment, i would enjoy itr a whole lot more if i could get a new specialization.

These threads are pathetic. Do you seriously think a bunch of “obnoxious jerks” will get a large company down? Do you think they give a -Yoink-? 343i is a Microsoft company, in the game for the profit, not some indie developer that needs recognition and a pat on the back.

O and these “obnoxious jerks,” are often dedicated halo fans who bring up legitimate problems with the game. There is undeniably many things that need to be fixed/ added to halo 4. And to those that say Halo 2 and 3 had its fair share of problems when they launched too. Well how do you think those problems were fixed: by fans complaining on forums and letting the company know the issues. Not pathetic fanboys who are in denial and get upset when people complain about the game they love

Agreed. Every time someone replies to my posts, I fear reading them. Perhaps we all need thicker skins, but I don’t come here for others to insult me.

I come to ask questions (which I have) and offer insight (which I don’t expect to be a grand revelation). I also come to see what the issues are related to the game.

From the sounds of it, the entire internet is ablaze with Halo hate. At least that’s what we’re to believe.

So folks get mad, and post their ‘proof’ that Halo is a POS in the form of a random YouTube video, some editorial comment from an “alleged” authority, or simply go about speculation on their own with no legitimate basis in fact.

And the rest of us become -Yoinks!- because we don’t share the herd behavior.

I just tell myself that the majority of the H4 population does not post here.

I think I’m going to return to that majority myself if things don’t get a little less vitriolic around here.

Why is this post not locked? It doesn’t seem to provide any conversation options. Just because it praises the game you don’t lock it?

“I’ve enjoyed it more than any FPS out there in a long time - even Reach. When you’re trying to kill time by playing COD as a Halo fan, it’s not the same”.

“Even Reach” ; )

I agree about Call of Duty though… I hated Reach so I spent the time playing H3, which was great, and MW3, which was… sub-amazing, but tolerable.

Nice to be back on some Halo, even though it’s not perfect yet.

So - because I have a different opinion than you - I’m pathetic? And I’m a fanboy?

If that’s not an obnoxious and unnecessary response in a thread attempting to be positive about the game, then I don’t know what is.

There are fundamental problems in the game, agreed.

I guess what makes me pathetic is that I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about it. I’m not going to get ulcers over a flipping game.

There’s enough ulcers in this community for a forcible takeover of the antacid industry.

So with all due respect - I respect your opinion and likely agree with much of what you may say about H4 issues. But it is unnecessary to start raising hackles by throwing unnecessary words like “pathetic” in - and using them as a corollary to someone’s opinion.

> Why is this post not locked? It doesn’t seem to provide any conversation options. Just because it praises the game you don’t lock it?

There are PLENTY of threads that deride the game that SHOULD be locked but aren’t. If you were on yesterday, a thread with an expletive in the title sat on the front page for at least an hour or more. No conversation options there, either.

If you want the OT back on track - then post something related to the topic.

Yeah. So many of my memories are tied to Halo as a gamer. Those of us who are older remember the roots of gaming and I think really appreciate what a cool thing it was getting from there to here.

I’ve got problems with EVERY Halo title (although I must say, I DID play the hell out of Firefight in Reach. There. That’s something I liked). Even though it makes me a lame, pathetic, nub, fanboy, moron - I play Halo because it is Halo.

No more, no less.

Yay! Back OT. Although I’m talking to myself methinks.

(Don’t warn me mods, I’m working to keep thread going!)
