Thanks but no thanks; super nerfs.

Um, first you made the condor easy-mode by letting silly people not be able to target the y ability and waste it on flying units.
Then, you got rid of the ability to manually use Y alltogether, and even worse, lessed the AOE. At some point in time you made the Condor clunky and unresponsively slow.
THEN, you got rid of its damage portion against buildings!
Like seriously. People in this game are SO lazy. Goodness forbid they start needing to put scouts and warning signs of incoming SUPER-UNITS.
And as is, the Condor is basically pointless. It doesn’t even seem to get veterancy any faster. It is crippled from being micro’d with. It is pointless to do all effort of macroing to spending 7k energy/supplies to go through all the hoops and shoots of getting a -Yoink!- condor by building so much infrastructure. Like seriously, my favorite unit can’t, CAN’T be micro’d! Scarabs are mostly just as useless now other than the invulnerability shield and now increased attack range.
What should be done about super-units? For one, it wasn’t the units themself. IT WAS THE HEALERS, THE CLOAKERS, AND THE SPAM! If a Condor or Scarab sneaks up on your base and kills some structures, it is YOUR fault!!! If a Condor is being healed continually in the midst of combat by nightgale’s, engineers, restoration drones, etc, THAT is the games fault. Of ALL the things in the game, WHY would you let supers be healed mid-combat!? I’m not saying remove heal, I’m saying remove healing debauchery of super units by mass healers!

Secondarily, clearly any cloaking or masking of super units is absurd. Having 3 super units is honestly not a problem without healers from an ally helping for skilled players. However, 2 supers + ALL healing units is ABSURD to the intellect of anyone wanting fairness.

Wait, are you implying Super Units + Healers is a problem?

Maybe if they just restrict ultimate units to one per player like I asked, there would have been no need for a nerf!

If anything I think super units actually got buffed lol. Having more than one has never been a problem.

Play a couple games of Team War and say that again.

Lmao all my team War games last less than 30 minutes. People are incredibly bad they just sit down on their bases rushing for super units.

If you let your enemy sit down and spawn 3 super units that’s on you.

This is a prime example of people not caring to learn the game and would rather 343 nerf it to the point where any leader but their leader is crap. I’m on a 13 game losing streak now, but I’ll be the first to say it’s probably my fault and that I shouldn’t have let that 2 scarab 13 engineer bum rush me. (that hasn’t happened to the best of my memory)
Instead of complaining that something is so bloody overpowered LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME. They cannot bum rush you if you scout and suitably prepare for it. You know what as well? Everyone I’ve called out like this over the past three days has not responded. You know what that makes me believe? I’m right. If I wasnt, they would have tried to defend themselves in some way, but they didn’t and haven’t. How 'bout instead of screaming nerf at everything you view as unfair, build some wolverines, nightinggales, reavers, hunters, or anything that can combat the threat. Don’t yell at 343 because all they’re gonna do is overreact and overcompensate. That’s all they know how to do, so I suggest you pull up the big boy pants, stop crying about OP leaders when you lose to someone better then you, and learn how to play the friggin game.

You clearly didn’t even read this, I didn’t mention leaders. I didn’t mention bum rushing. You are not right just because you have an inability to read and you think people aren’t responding.

I did read it. By bum rush I meant charged you with it. I mentioned leaders because you’re was imply the straw that broke the camel’s back, dude. I’m assuming I’m right because no even tried to defend their point to me until a) I started a thread about it b) you replied just now. I don’t even know how to respond better. I mean, you’re asking for nerfs to units that just got buffs they desperately needed. If all they have are Scarabs or Condors protecting engies or shrouds, then it shouldn’t be difficult to deal with them unless you’re actively ignoring things that make the game work. The supers can only hit so many targets at any given time, so just focus down the support then focus on the supers. Easier said then done, I know, but if you’re just letting you’re army be crushed by them then that’s your problem.

Having super units unable to heal mid-combat would make them absolutely useless. It’s not the game’s fault that you aren’t good against a strategy. Engineers and Nightingales are easy to destroy, Condors are easy to destroy, and Scarabs don’t deal that much damage. Reavers take out the healers and detect cloaked things very well (and can also wreck Condors if you keep them in range), and Scarabs can’t damage your reavers fast enough to stop you from destroying the engineers if you play the game right. Stop saying super units need a nerf just because they are good units. They are expensive and take up 40 unit space so they better be good. Spamming super units and healers is a strategy that is very easy to counter and unless you want super units to be pointless to the game, stop saying they need a nerf.

Exactly!, people just seem to be garbage at thinking of new strategies mid-combat. They see a Super-Unit clouded by healers and just give up if it kills their army. If they don’t quit they continue spamming the same units they were just using as if that would kill it. If you see a mass healed Super-Unit make an army to counter the healers and Super-Unit. Most times if you build enough Anti-Air/tank you can deal more damage than how much the Super is being healed and kill it that way, or maybe, just maybe, target down the healers first with leader powers and so forth.

Stop trying to ruin the game, lazy -Yoink-

Healing super units is not a “strategy”, it requires nearly no micro, and this game has TERRIBLE anti-air against healing units, not that a super unit will let your AA survive that long, pre-nerf.

> Healing super units is not a “strategy”, it requires nearly no micro, and this game has TERRIBLE anti-air against healing units, not that a super unit will let your AA survive that long, pre-nerf.

Yeah it requires no skill because it’s a very easy to counter strategy. I don’t know what game you have been playing, but Reavers absolutely wreck air and Wolverines do a ton of damage as well. Again, Scarabs do very little damage and Condors are extremely vulnerable to anti-air and fire VERY slow so if you really thing that a super unit can destroy on army of anti-air units quickly, you are shockingly mistaken.

2 per player would be more ideal, just like halo wars 1

shhh dont tell him infantry spam takes down condors hehe

Are you drunk? “Do.” “Do.” “Do.” This is a completely different game now. Wolverines were weak as -Yoink- at first. Anti-air fire wasn’t a terrible terrible vulnerability at first. A condor vs infantry should be like an AC-130 vs Goat Herders with RPG-7’s.

NO. 18% more health isn’t a buff, it is LAZINESS, when the -Yoink!- “super units” can’t kill -Yoink- anymore.

  • Condor HP increased by 18%. - Condor special ability damage multipliers reworked. Most notably: Condor Y damage vs buildings is 30% less, thus no longer able to instantly kill attached buildings. - Scarab Beam DPS increased by 21%.Those look like buffs to me? What do you mean super units can’t kill -Yoink- anymore?
