Aaarrww, it’s lovely to see some one being so considerate of the developers. Fully agree. Without them I’d only have the memories of how I used to play Halo.

It’s a little disheartening to see such massive amounts of negativity right before release, but it’s not unsurprising. 343 make great stories for those who’re all caught up with the expanded universe, but for anyone else it tends to seem like incoherent nonsense. As a huge fan who thinks Halo 2 and 4 have the best stories in the series (and really didn’t like Reach), my opinion of the campaign isn’t going to be found from reviewers, it’s going to be found from me actually playing the game.

Eh. I think it’s a problem with a certain portion of the playerbase wanting to be spoon-fed.
I appreciate a good story. I appreciate a good story with good background and metaplot even more. And I really appreciate a story where, if I’m willing to put in a little bit of work to explore the whole setting, I’ll get a better experience overall.
So far, Halo hasn’t let me down in that regard.

I see lots of hate about them, but honestly, I love what they are doing with Halo.
I’m just happy we get another game with Forge/custom games, since you can’t get the same experience anywhere else on a console (the closest being GTA V, but its gunplay sucks)
