For the most consistantly laggy game i have ever played… consistant as in i experience random lag in almost every single game i play… some lag lasts the entire match while other games it just randomly starts laggin and then goes back to normal, it does this alot in a single match… i played it on release night 12:20 am it was smooth as butter i had no problem and now its horrible…
i get lag just about every game and its very very annoying i dont play anything besides slayer pro cause i hate radar and all this new nooby stuff and so obviously im playing to win and its pisses me off beyond belief when i die or we lose because we werent getting outplayed rather than we were lagging… some games are fine (rare) and we win, but after the match i find myself asking the question, “did we really just beat them or where they lagging that time?”
i just hope you guys arent ignoring this cause you’re about to lose a hole lot of halo players if you dont fix this -Yoink-, i dont even want to play it today its unplayable and not enjoyable.
ps… dont even get me started on sparton ops and campaign, about every game i have gotten has been red bar.

Just because you don’t notice the lag it doesn’t mean it isn’t there, like how the game generally seems to function consistently but then a guy shotguns you and even on the killcam he wasn’t even looking in your direction.
lol everone telling me to calm down and that im not laggin you all are obviously dumb… i am not new to halo and i can indeed tell what is and what isnt lag and yes i am laggin almsot every single game not just 1 out of 5 otherwise i wouldnt be -Yoinking!- so you are wrong… just cause you dont lag every game doesnt mean everyone isnt lagging, and i know its the first week but holy -Yoink- you would be -Yoinking!- too if every game you have played since yesterday has been laggy as balls so dont tell me to calm down when you dont understand the full extent of where i am coming from…

Did you consider it could be your connection? It is a possibility.

you’re right it is a possibility… lag is always possibly due to the persons connection but if you would have read what you just qouted me on you would see i am not new to halo and have been playin it online since h2 and i never get lag when i play h3 or reach, i mean sometimes i do but not like this… when lag happens in h3 or reach it usually switches host and im good to go again… my isp says everything is fine and the problem shouldnt be on my end…
I’ve logged around 10-15 hours of multiplayer and have yet to come across any lag whatsoever, aside from Spartan Ops, of course, so I have no idea what you’re talking about.
first, to the guys saying “its just been out for a week, give the servers time to smoothen out”, shut up, this game is not dedicated servers so the servers have absoloutly no play in the quality of connection you receive, the quality of connection is based solely on your connection and peer connections, if you experience exceptional lagg more often then not then most likely it is your connection that is at fault.
secound, halo 4 utilizes join in progress, this creates a problem on netcode because of players constantly joining and quitting, if the game wasn’t strict on when it decides to change host then every single time a player joins or quits the game your in you will go to black screen for a good few mins while the game figures out the new host, if there is going to be a new host.
third, this game fails to provide a regional, skill and connection search options so you can’t raise priority of certain criteria to provide a better overall experience, this is something that really needs to be sorted out as soon as possible if it all.
if you are experience lagg quite often, check your connection, it could be that your connection is at fault, maybe a closed NAT, high ping, dodgy line or what ever, if your connection is fine that the other potential cause is your location, how fare away from the exchange and what country you live in have an effect because of latency, this can’t be fixed no matter what connection quality you’re getting.
